Our stay at Echo Valley Campground was perfect! We rented the cabin for a long weekend and wish we could have stayed longer. The cabin was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. The cabin was right on the water! The views from the living room were spectacular! The water was so clear and the beach area was perfect for swimming. Looking forward to going back. The owners Tim and Sherry were so nice and made you feel welcomed.
Beautiful lake, a lot of activities for adults and kids. You can rent boats and other equipment to fully enjoy the lake. There are permanent sites and rental sites and there is even a nicely appointed cabin that you can rent. It is right next to the National Forest which also has trails for ATVs.
We stayed in the cabin with our granddaughter and I can’t think of a single thing I would have changed…except to have stayed longer! Right on the water, lovely view, clean, comfortable, well stocked even a cribbage board AND a full deck of cards! deck, grill, fire pit, thank you for the dry wood, Tim! : We rented a pontoon thank you, Sheri! and Tim took us out for a lovely and very helpful tour of the lake. They even made sure to have the pontoon at a dock right by the cabin and easily accessible! We caught some fish, swam, made s’mores, went kayaking, used the playground equipment, and RELAXED… exactly what we wanted and then some! That being said, what really made it a great stay were our hosts, Tim and Sheri. They made us feel so welcome and comfortable, and were right there if needed, but without hovering…a real talent! Their enjoyment of what they do and justified pride in their resort and lake shine through! We went for a lovely vacation and not only had that, but also came away with two new friends! No, make that three new friends—Hi, Cessna! Thank you for everything, Tim and Sheri!
Best holiday weekend my family has had. Beach and lake were beautiful. Rented the pontoon boat and had a blast. Really liked the hot and clean showers and restroom. Owners were always around and gave great advice to local attractions. I would recommend this place to any family. Worth every penny. Very family friendly rates and environment. We will be back.
We love to come here every year. I started going here with my boyfriend 4 years ago and I look forward to it every summer. The ownersTim and Sherry are super nice and we always meet cool people when we come to visit. We go rafting on the wolf river then spend the rest of our time relaxing in the beautiful environment here. Highly recommend.
The sweetest people we have ever met. The owners Sheri and her husband Tim were so friendly and down to earth all the people we met on the grounds were so helpful and kind. Perfect quiet, relaxing, and tranquil get away with lots of enjoyable outdoor activities. They were so quick to help when we had issues and everyone made you feel at home and like family. Safe environment for kids and clean well kept grounds. Only negative is we wish it was closer to our home! The whole family hopes to get our there again soon!
The only thing nicer than the cabin itself was the view from the living room. An excellent place to stay in a great location for all the up north activities you need.Rooms: 5/5
Nice place to spend your summer Great fishing! Beautiful sun set's. With alot of beautiful nature to explore. Berry picking. Everyone is always friendly and willing to help each other. Feels like a safe and fun place to be :
My only complaint is the lack of steady office hours. We had to check back occasionally to try and catch the owners. Otherwise, campsite was clean, layout of sites was easy to navigate, and bathroom facilities were better than expected! Swim area is small, and we lost a pink water shoe to a section of very thick seaweed and mud that felt like quicksand in the swim area. If you find it, please give to office! Kayak rental was easy and kayaks we're in good condition. We were told of a sandbar but couldn't find it :/ There is only cell service right next to water, so if the weather might turn, bring entertainment!!
So disappointing! The office was never open and trying to find someone to help with renting a kayak was only possible because we knew some permanent campers. The beach was nearly non-existant and could have used a dump truck of sand. The public restrooms were dilapidated and run down, the dump station was inaccessible and we had to drive our camper back to town to dump it. Definitely not worth $40 a night for a family getaway! Could be a beautiful place if some love and care were put into it!!
