Worst manicure I've ever had. I have never been so disappointed. It's not how a "salon manicure" should look like. NOTHING was done to my cuticle.
I have MANY complaints from my experience today at Eco Chic. 1 LONG WAIT TIME: Firstly, my friend and I had an appointment for 1:40 PM, and when we arrived they only worked on one of our nails and my friend had to wait an entire HOUR for her manicure. This was unacceptable, as we had a reservation for an appointment that was made hours before. They should have been adequately prepared for us to arrive as they had known we were coming for hours. Furthermore, while I was getting my nails done, two other waiting clients who had been sitting and waiting for 30 minutes were eventually turned away, and when they spoke up for themselves they received hostility and anger from the employees. I understand that Covid was stressful for employees, however it does not provide an excuse for patiently waiting clients to be met with hostility when asking about their services. 2 PRICES ARE A SCAM I arrived and asked to get acrylic nails, where any website or average store will tell you that the price range for acrylics is from $35-$65, depending on the quality and salon. At Eco Chic, they informed me after completing my nails that the price was $110, with tax bringing it up to $116. When I asked about the price and the expenses, they said I had "no idea what I was talking about," and then proceeded to yell at me, a 17 year old girl, when I informed them that the prices at neighboring New Canaan Salons such as Hollywood Nails were $60 for acrylics, which I confirmed via a phone call with Hollywood Nails. I ended up paying the $116 and waiting another 30 minutes for my friend due to their long wait times, and left the salon unsatisfied. I will never return to Eco Chic again, and will likely go to other New Canaan Salons for equal service at more reasonable and expected prices. If you want to wait for an extra hour and pay 200% of the price of New Canaan competing salons, Eco Chic is perfect for you!Service: Acrylic nails
I got a pedicure and the woman clearly did not want to do my pedicure. Then I asked for a 10 minute massage. I have been going to this place for over 20 years so I waited and then a older women asked for a massage they knew I was waiting and immediately they gave her one. I got up, paid and left. I may not look like a stepford wife but I was a good customer. I won’t be going back ever again.Service: Pedicure
I made an appointment & came in for a spa Pedi and uv gel Mani. Halfway through the pedicure my technician tells me she's sorry but she had another appointment to attend to & she handed me off to someone else. Then the tech that did my nails filed my cuticles! When I got home, they called me apolozing because they forgot to charge me for my 10 min massage and asked me for my credit card#!
I always wanted to check out the nail place however, I felt very rushed by them. The woman who was doing my nails asked me how I wanted to pay the tip and when I mentioned card she asked me if I will be adding a 20% tip. It was ridiculous!Services: Pedicure
