Wasn't a bad place to live for a few tough months. Not the cleanest place to stay though so I cleaned out room myself and washed our linens and bedding myself each week. Was only 1 housekeeper so it was less she had to do too. We managed to be allowed to stay in same room entire 4 month stay, and we even got a mini fridge, microwave and flat screen TV which wasn't an absolute when we checked in. Not bad all in all.
Stay away! I dont expect a 4-star hotel in the budget category but I do expect basic sanitation. This hotel was absolutely disgusting. Nearly every surface excluding the desk and dresser was covered in grime. The shower surface areas were moldy. The blanket had cigarette burns. Worst of all, the box springs and mattress on one of the beds had vomit on it. I spoke to the staff and they were apologetic but did nothing about it. We were traveling with a pet late at night and there were no other options so we were stuck there. Needless to say we will never be back to that hotel. Also, the breakfast was terrible and the rest of the hotel stunk. I spoke with the management and they are offered a 10% discout. I believe they had no desire to address any of my concerns. Wish I could give negative stars.
Stayed March, 2016...and what a dump! On a road trip and just needed a room for the night, so stopped here. Mistake! About the only good thing I can say is that it is next door to the Sapp Brothers' truck stop, which has reasonable gas prices and really good food. As for the rest...yuck. The hallways smelled like ashtrays, the room was worn & dated. When I checked in, the heat was OFF not turned down, off! and the room was an icebox. The heater roared like an airplane, the bathroom light flickered. The toilet ran very loudly, the 20-year-old tube TV didn't work, half the plugs also didn't work. As a bonus, the parking lot can be charitably called "decrepit".
BED BUGS!!!! Worst place I have ever stayed in, me and my wife rented a room for a week and ended up only staying one night. We woke up the first morning to bed bugs on our pillows, I confronted the owner of the hotel and told him I wanted I refund but he told me no, so I showed him the bed bugs and he persisted to tell me he didn't care and that he wasn't going to give me a refund, which left us broke and stranded in the cold, pouring down snow. I had to go in debt with a family member just to pay rent at a different hotel and lost the 300$ from Econo Lodge because the guy was rude and very disrespectful. If you're ever in Clearfield PA, I recommend you do NOT pay this place a visit! I'm 100% serious when I say I wouldn't even rent a room for a homeless man because I know that they would even be disgusted. The rooms had cracks and holes in walls, the bed was so gross that we went to walmart and bought an air mattress to sleep on, the carpet was almost black because it was so filthy, and on top of that, waking up to bed bugs was by far the worst part. Yeah I have stayed at bad hotels but never anything this nasty. Never in my life have I seen such a disgusting, revolting place, so my review to Econo Lodge is, if you see one drive by it and find a days inn or something because if you stay at this place you're more than likely going to get ate up with bugs or just puke because of the way it is. So thank you Econo Lodge for screwing me out of 300$ and I hope that the corporate or health department shuts you down before you put anybody else in that kind of filth and misery. If this would allow me to post pictures, I would post the pictures of the bed bugs that we COUGHT off of our PILLOWS and BED!
I stayed overnight in this hotel last week. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed. The bathroom was dirty. The beds were stinky. Overall, the stay was very bad. I would never recommend this to any one. Don't stay even if offered free.
Was a Days inn, now econo lodge. Stayed here while passing thru on business. Clean room, affordable price. There is a bar and grill located in same building as hotel.
Trucker Friendly Parking. GOOD Drink Prices for quick stay. Under remdoel: pardon the makeover mess
Literally the worst hotel I've ever been too. DO NOT STAY HERE. INFESTED.
