Genuinely surprised and charmed by the quality of the room for the price. The building I was in even had balconies for each room with security screens between each, and a metal security bar for the door on top of the lock, which helped with my nightly anxiety. The front clerk was very kind and sweet, and I appreciate them calling when I hadn't checked in by 7pm even if it was just a courtesy call, I felt like I was being checked in on. Around 11am, they came buy to check if the room needed room service or not, which I thought was a nice and efficient way of doing things. The buildings and rooms could use a fresh coat of paint and color, and I'm pretty sure the toilet is older than me, but it didn't detract from the charm, and I wish I could stay longer and help paint! The roads of Malone are never great and the parking lot is a great example of that, you aren't going to get an amazing view wherever you look, but for a side of the road stop that's been up for at least 15 years personal number, may be much longer than that it's a lovely place, would love to stay again.
Pleasant greeting and check-in. Room heat needs to be turned on when entering. Room get warm quickly. Shower water is very hot! Beds and linen are good. Decor spartan but adequate. Coffee machine, microwave and small fridge in room.Rooms: 4/5
First off we had a cob web in the corner of the room that ckd of held a family of 15. Second the sheets n pillow cases were filthy dirty, there was hair still in the bed and on pillows. The heat was not working correctly,we had it on 80 all night and the room was still pretty cold. The man at the front desk was neither helpful or pleasant when checking in. I do NOT recommend staying here if you have a fear of germs...thats a definite.
Horrible service! I reserved a room for one night the office smelled horrible. I had to get cash because they wanted a deposit because I wanted to pay half card and half cash. She said I needed a deposit to pay that way. It was super late I was so tired. Got the cash. Next morning I went to get my deposit back. They were hesitant to give me my money saying they need to check the room first. The stay was horrible. I was scared to sleep in the beds because it looked as if the sheets had bugs. Just because of how the place looked. I didn’t feel safe there at all. I felt like anyone could come into my room through the balcony. The blow dryer almost caught on fire in the bathroom. It didn’t even work- I couldn’t believe it but you get what you pay for. I know I am not going there again and wouldn’t recommend this location to anyone.
The price was right. The rooms were clean and plenty of towels etc. TV had many selections. The place needs some more TLC. Manny, was super helpful in answering all my questions and calling us prior to the weekend trip. Thanks Manny!
I wouldn't rate the hotel with any stars. The pictures on line are NOT the hotel. Rooms weren't available upon arrival. The parking lot has to be like riding over a rock mountain. The toilet base was cracked, sheets are thin, the TV is s "32" inch the base of the walls are plywood. There is dam near feathers in the pillows. The best thing in the room is the shower water and the mini fridge. I NEED MY MONEY BACK. I looked for another room but a dam hockey tournament has sold out all of the rooms elsewhere
I could start with the phone and wifi not working or the cold wooden floors, but the worst was probably maggots in the bathroom. I brought my children there for a quick stay for the night, never again will i do that. Most of the staff were nice, the manager wasnt the most respectful though. The only reason I gave it two stars is because the beds were comfortable and clean and the staff were polite. Oh and because they had cartoons, which the kids loved. If they were cleaner, it wouldn't be a bad place.
Stayed 1 night for a icefishing tournament! Horrible smell inside the rooms. Felt like they turned the heat on 10 minutes before we got there in the middle of January! Gave us a hassle about paying with a card and charged me 2 transactions instead of 1! The microwave in the room had a hole through the glass on the door and didn't work! No cable or wifi in the rooms and the coffee maker in the room was full of liquid from the previous occupants!
Disappointing. Very noisy location. Room wasn't ready upon check in. Staff smiled but weren't very helpful since there were no towels in the room when checking in. Bed was uncomfortable. Heater was loud.Rooms: 2/5
Bed is decent, room heated up quick, they have a fridge and microwave. But the toilet seat is old and chipped, and the toilet leaked all over the floor when I flushed, and also my colleague in the room next to me also had a leaking toilet. I suppose for the price and a quick nights rest it's a ok place to stay..
