Econo Lodge-Sherwood

Our Stay Nov 2022 in room 205.. This place is a decent motel price but Cleaner & nicer than expected. The area is outside of the more congested area Larkin Ave so more safe. The room was updated with flooring, not super outdated TV, & fridge/microwave. Bed was pretty comfy. Only complaint was the Shower rod that needed tending to so that water doesn't continue to leak all over. Arrived at night but parking lot seemed to be decently clean. Front desk lady was nice & very Helpful as well. Overall, it's Fantastic for the price!

First, the room smelled awful not sure it’s because of the detergent they use or bad air circulation. The corner around the sink even had sesame-shaped bug eggs! The toilet paper hanger was dismantled and set on the toilet bowl a DIY project?. The hair dryer was not only dirty but also not functional at all. The ice dispenser is not working. And they don’t have breakfast. The stay makes us feel like the front desk lady couldn’t care less about the customers. Overall, I don’t not recommend this place at all.

Solid, safe place to crash for a family to spend a single night while traveling. 1 good thing for every 1 bad thing. Fixtures were beaten up and some were as neglected as others were new. It was actually a 3-star experience in a 2-star building, but I boosted the rating to emphasize that it wasn't as bad as the exterior would have you think. Nearby activities: Easy to get on Jefferson, the main drag of Joliet's West side. Quick on/off from I-55 and I-80. Safety: The area looks like a perfect place for sus people, but it was just quiet and empty. No one bothered us.

After 3 rounds on Map Quest to locate the Econo Lodge it has moved or has become another hotel in Shorwood ILL.

Decent hotel. Lobby was nice. Staff was helpful. Room had updated floor, painting and fixtures, but the bathroom was not updated. Paint peeling, tub mat looked like someone tried to eat it. It was clean and served it’s purpose but just needed to be freshened up. Would def stay there again.
