-1 star because the room wasn't the cleanest. Gave 4 stars because $42 including taxes etc isnt a bad price at all. Nice hardwood type floors. Option for smoking or non smoking rooms. Customer Service at the hotel is one of the best that I've encountered. There was confusion with the original 2 double bed room originally reserved and we was upgraded to a king size at no charge. We only reserved/book for 1 night however we ended up staying an additional 2 night and was still only charged the price for the 2 double. Tons of options for food really close by, within a couple blocks, right off of interstate. All in all we was satisfied with our stay and will be staying here regularly instead of our normal hotel that was 70$+ a night. Yes it's not as cleanly as more expensive hotels but again for the price you cannot beat it.
Management and staff were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. They even printed paperwork I needed for work. The fee for a dog is higher than expected. Other places charge a flat rate which is budget friendly for people with unexpected travel needs. Help us out Choice Hotels. We were thankful for the microwave and fridge as well. Quiet location and convenient.
For the price $48, this was a nice stay. They are in the process of renovating, so that should be considered. The staff was friendly and accommodating, giving us a king sized bed after being first reserved for double.l. Breakfast. Pet friendly. Convenient parking. Clean rooms. Comfy bed. Well worth the stay.Rooms: 3/5
Friendly staff. Clean room. Comfy bed. Could use updates but still decent. Be honest with staff when you bring an animal because my neighbors had one and staff did not know about it and they left it in the room and it was anxious and messing with the wall... It didn't go well.
The customer service is great but the rooms are terrible. I switched rooms 3 times. First room the bathroom was flooded because of a leak, second room the fridge had something spilling out of it that made the room smell like something died in it, third room had holes in the wall and still smelled weired but I settled, bit to mention the burn holes in the blankets. But, on the bright side it was cheap
First 3 or 4 stays there I had no real problems had actually originally given 4 star review other than the room I was generally in 110 smoking did not have a microwave as indicated but no big deal. HOWEVER prior to my most recent stay I'll get to that we were in room 109 had it had microwave also food in the fridge from sheetz that expired 2 weeks prior. When we informed the front desk they said well your room was free anyway used reward points Last stay I requested a late checkout 12:30 and that morning at 10:00 or a few min before a older male hotel worker just barged in to my room and it wasn't until I shouted excuse me hello? That he then shut the door and knocked just to tell me that his system showed the room as empty.I'm almost positive that He was the one who brought extra pillows the night before He was holding hand written paper that had about 7 room numbers on it I'm assuming it was a list of rooms that were due to check out that day as the cleaning lady was on the main floor already cleaning I think I would have been more understanding had it been closer to 11:00 and that the late checkout was not documented. Yes I know I should have used the extra lock that mistake was on me.
My family and I stayed at this Econo location a few weeks for business. The hotel was always neat and clean, beds comfortable. The Manager/Owner was very kind and respectful. If anything was required/requested he was sure to adhere to it. Also keeping his staff on their toes to assist an any way possible.Rooms: 4/5
NO. Just no. I brought this to staffs attention and was told "You don't have to stay here, no one is making you. Follow me and we'll cancel the transaction." My company paid for the room and after I told him he could take it up with my company, he quickly changed his mind and suggested another room. Second room was so much better and was clean. However, if you do stay here be prepared, restaurants do not want to deliver here and many refuse.
This hotel is very old, and essentially falling apart. The breakfast is very poor, and doesn't feature much of anything; the so-called Ballroom has not been updated since 1980, there are many Plumbing issues, and the water has been turned off several times in 2 days leading to some of my group not getting showers. while the ownership is making an effort to remodel some rooms, others are falling apart with luggage holders falling off the wall, and some of the walls in the rooms showing water damage from previous leaks. The management and ownership, however, are generally very nice people and congenial. Ultimately, I'd have to say stay somewhere else until they straighten out their problems.
This was a random stay, as a frequent traveler, my vehicle broke down and wouldn't be ready until afternoon. My first impression is just "blah". The place could use a lot of work, seriously. I understand that this is a small town but there should be a standard that is followed when carrying the name of "choice hotels". My first room was very horrible and I was switched for free and given a discount.... even with the discount I wouldn't stay here again. Spiders up in every book and crannyno frequent use of rooms. Mild al over. Bad odor, and a dingy look to everything, the water damage about the building is very notable. I just wish that these managers will bring their standards up a bit.
