Just rented for two weeks. Managers are super nice. Park is very off the track and secluded, city folks probably won't like it here but is a perfect place for this country boy. They have a dock on a sheltered side canal that word has it is great fishing, especially strippers. Small convince store next to dock. I highly recommend this place as a peaceful and quiet get away.
Guy that runs this place is awesome, my brother in law keeps his yacht here and I visit. People respect each other here, which is nice to see. Eddo's is a very simple place but a good place to moor or park your trailer if you are respectful.
The sunrise and sunset are breath-taking, it's a taste of nature with a community atmosphere as well. It's far off the beaten path, and the road in is very bumpy, but there's still cell service and some simple modern conveniences, as well as great fishing. There isn't really much variety there, mostly good ol' boys, hillbillies, and cowboys. Fairly tight-knit community that takes care of each other.
Took my kayak. Easy launch for day users. Good place.
SCAM ALERT: They do NOT honor the prices on their website. The website says $140 for a week but when I arrived I was charged $185 for the week. I tried to complain to the guy behind the desk that the price didnt match the website and he said "The website doesnt matter, we havent updated it in years". After I left the park, I called VISA and had them reverse the charges. Turns out that what it says on the website DOES matter. If enough people do this then their merchant account will be terminated. On top of the overcharge, I had called them the previous week about reservations. They dont take reservations but the guy on the phone said yeah come on down we got a spot. But when I arrived, they suddenly had no idea who I was and said there were no spaces and he was angry about me asking why was I told over the phone there was a space for me. "You can't stay here!", he said. I was like "Hey I'm leaving right after I lookup a new place to go". "I know you are", he said. But as I drove away he stopped me and said wait a minute I found a spot for you. I should have just kept on driving, so should you. theres a little state park about 15 minutes away that won't scam you.
Unreliable and unreasonable From their website: “We also have overnight guest berthing and free pump out.” Not so much. We needed an overnight but the boot on arrival even though their docks were empty. Would have called ahead but they are closed on Wednesdays.
Back in 2006, I used to live here and got to know the owners as well as the area. I returned last week to show my girlfriend around this place and she was in awe. Wonderful location and friendly people. They have covered docks, fuel dock and pump-out as well as a boat ramp. For the RV site, they have about 25 spaces, a laundry room, bathrooms and each site has power and water. If you need a place to get fuel on the delta, park your RV in a beautiful spot or looking for a ramp into the Delta, you should absolutely check Eddo's out.
VERY quite. Away from the hustle and bustle. Great place for dogs. The only draw back is the 4 mile rd to the park off 160. Drive slow it's really rough. But we like it here lots. But if you have a boat or just wanna bank fish I suggest you bring your RV and make the trip.
A lovely, remote place on the river with exceedingly poor management. Eddo’s does not take reservations however, I was instructed to call 2 weeks prior to my arrival, “Yes, we can have a space for you, just call 2 weeks ahead.” Then when I called 2 weeks ahead, “Yes, we can have a space for you, just call 2 days ahead.” Then when I called 2 days ahead, “Yes, we can have a space for you, just come before 5:00.” Then, I called the day of my arrival, “Yes, we have a space for you, just get here before 5:00.” Then when I arrived at 3:30, after hauling my RV for 4 hours, the owner informed me “I don’t reserve any spaces for anyone and I have no space for you.” This, as I looked over his shoulder at ten open spaces! “But I spoke with you 4 hours ago, and you told me—,” “I told you I didn’t have a space for you,” he actually appeared to be enjoying himself! Eddo’s has a reputation as a great fishing resort. I am a fisherman through and through, and a wildlife and fisheries Biologist, and I will go out of my way to disrecommend Eddo’s Harbor and Resort to any fisherman, colleagues, recreationists, or even my worst enemies. I have never in my life been treated so disrespectfully.
Discrimination, Perception and Attitude! Eddo's Harbor & RV Park is beautiful with views of the Delta, the wildlife and the birds. Too bad the hospitality shown upon check-in wasn't what some reviews lead us to believe, rather we found the operators owners to be very discriminatory, rude and outright hostile. I guess it's hit and miss, I see that some have had great experiences at this RV park, ours was significantly different. Simply put we were discriminated at based on appearance or perceived class. I've been planning on visiting the California Delta again for over 2 years. My first visit to the area was when I made a wrong turn out of Walnut Creek and spent the day driving along a beautiful Delta levee, stopping occasionally to watch some of the wildlife and birds before continuing on. In the time since my first encounter I have eagerly read anything I could find about the area, curious about how the region got its water that serves the central California valley, San Francisco and the Bay area. This year, we wanted to stay in the Delta at someplace quiet and peaceful as last time we spent an unfortunate week in Antioch. In my search I came upon Eddo's and bookmarked it for when time came to make reservations. I checked their website. It was outdated but it had all the information, looked like a quiet country setting we were looking for. A few days before we expected to arrive I called to make a reservation, offered up my credit card to secure it and the lady Dawn said she didn't want our credit card information, only asking for out name and phone number. The length of our RV and how many in our party. So we make the final leg of our tour, arriving at the park late-afternoon and no one was present so we proceeded into park. I walked up to front to search for a host to be met by a gentleman I now know to be the owner Craig Gulick telling us they are booked solid through the 1st. I tell him we have a reservation to which he replies "we'll see about that". He walks into a house, a lady Dawn comes out screaming "we don't accept bus conversions". Being in the hospitality industry you have a duty to be welcoming, to provide safe accommodation and be respectful. Eddo's Harbor & RV Park provided none of these things to us. Thankfully, there were plenty of other, more hospitable places north of the Bay area.
