Eden's Army is a non-profit organization created to help families at the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) at Children's Hosp.
Our daughter, Eden Elizabeth, spent 21 of her 28 days in the CICU at Children's Hospital. At 4 days old she was diagnosed with viral meningitis. The viral meningitis attacked her heart, making her a heart transplant candidate. Waiting for her transplant proved to be too much for our sweet girl. We documented this journey on Caring Bridge. Please read about her journey, which we affectionately titled Eden's Endeavor. It is in this blog (caringbridge.com and search Eden Elizabeth) that you will see what an incredible fighter our daughter was despite her delicate stature. She was supported by dedicated nurses and talented doctors during her endeavor. This 3 week journey, while short, has forever changed our lives and we want nothing more than to give back to the families that are currently in the CICU.
The foundation's purpose is to give financial support to those families who's children are in the care of the CICU at Children's Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
