The Edgewater Fire Department Company #1 is made up of 60 members that donate their time to keep the residents of Edgewater safe. We are a volunteer department that operates out of two firehouses. Our Company #1 is located at 1408 River Road and houses Engine 5 to protect the north end of town. Headquarters is located at 838 River Road. Headquarters has the fire departments communication desk. The trucks that respond out of HQ are Engines 1 & 2, Tower 1, Rescue 3 and Squad 1. Our Marine Division has 2 boats located at our Borough Marina. In 2014, Edgewater responded to 560 alarms including mutual aid calls to our surrounding East Bergen towns.
