A critique/collaborative writer's group open to the public.
Edison Writer's Club welcomes all writers. Our membership draws mostly from Miami, Shelby, and Darke counties, but we welcome anyone who writes fiction, nonfiction, or poetry.
There are no dues or memberships. Each month, Edison Writers' Club gives area writers the chance to read and discuss one another's work. The Club also keeps members current on contests and publication opportunities. Just bring your original fiction, nonfiction, or poetry to the meetings.
While most meetings revolve around critiquing each other's writing, on occasion, Writer's Club sponsors special events. We like to invite successful area writers and publishers to come share their experience on topics such as how and where to market your fiction, nonfiction and poetry; how and when to submit your work to newspapers, magazines and journals.
Writer's Club events are free and open to the public. The regular meeting is held the last Thursday of the month at 7:30PM in room 057 at Edison Community College. Special events may take place on additional date/times.
