"The Edward M. Kennedy Community Health Center Kennedy Community Health was founded as the Great Brook Valley Health Center, Inc. the Valley, in 1972 by seven women who were seeking better access to health care for their families. These women lived in the largest public housing complex in Worcester, Massachusetts and relied on the hospital emergency room for care. As a result, they did not have access to regular, preventive, and primary care services for their families. To change the paradigm, these pioneers founded a corporation, obtained space from the Worcester Housing Authority, and negotiated for a nurse practitioner to come to the Valley."

Chose a PCP through my insurance website who seemed like a good match, said she was accepting new patients etc. I then spent an hour and twenty minutes trying to get any communication at all as to how to actually SEE her. Sounds like the operators are a call center, I mean I had called and been disconnected, hung up on, disrespected, told that my PCP wasn’t my PCP and I was “probably” on a wait list, redirected to insurance where no one answered and I had to leave a voicemail, etc ..at least seven times. one lady absolutely had me on speaker, which is so sketchy. Ended up googling another number to try to get through, I don’t even know what number or office I called but I finally spoke to a half decent gentleman who sounded legit. He said I needed to register and I was like yeah I gathered that but I haven’t gotten any help on the matter. He took my info and said someone would call within the week to register me as a patient. I even called my health insurance company to explain but they were no help either. It’s been two months, still haven’t gotten through, no one has gotten back to me to register, no emails no voicemails. I tried to sign up for the “patient portal” online three times, never got a confirmation email or phone call from that. Now I need care and am back to looking for a PCP. I would NEVER suggest the Edward M Kennedy health center for anyone, because of my terrible experience and the dang-near fraudulent methods of which they “provide” care.
Can I give 0 stars? Every time I call you’re on hold for more than 20-30 minutes. They never have appointments and when they do the doctor doesn’t even touch/examine you. Then turn around and say they can only spend 20 minutes per patient. I’ve had an issue for months and months now and they won’t give me a referral for a specialist nor try to figure out what’s going on. Why can’t I have a referral ? Doesn’t make any sense at all. Go somewhere else
Today I leave here all my affection and thanks to all the employees of this blessed clinic always taking care of our health. And for me it's 19 years. Education, dedication and patience. Thank you... For taking care of me.
I've been going here since the start and can confirm everything you read here is true except the 5-star reviews which are obviously from employees. Sadly, I am locked into which places I can actually get to so I'm stuck in this 8th world abomination. If you can go elsewhere it's highly advisable to do so. I also want to call out the level of racism in these reviews. Who cares what nationality someone is? It has absolutely nothing to do with anything, stop being disgusting.
I love the girls of the front desk , they are kind and nice , the place is really good sometimes I see people there with bad attitude with the girls but I always see they calm an nice treating everybody nice with respect , my note for the front desk is 10 they are all great.
Absolute worst doctors office ever. They take any and every immigrant family and understaff the place. appointments take forever to book. Medication refill times are awful and im stuck sometimes a week past my refill date. DO NOT go here.
THE WORST PLACE EVER!!! My husband has been trying to see a doctor twice and every time he went there was something wrong. First they said that something was wrong with his insurance, came home and we called the Insurance place and nothing was wrong. They take so long to schedule appointments! Staffs over the phone and in person are very rude! Don’t know how to treat people! UPDATE: One of the lady from the front desk, followed up and scheduled an appointment for the same day at a later time. My husband was able to go in and see a doctor. We appreciate it! & we are thankful!!
The guy at the reception desk, the brazilian one is the rudest person I’ve ever met, every time I go there he gives me attitude, I went with my boyfriend today, to pick up something for him, the guy was just like “no need for you two to come in, one person would get the job done”, why is that his problem??? We asked for face masks and he was rolling his eyes, highly recommend the change of the entire staff, starting from the front desk guy
I tried to reach somebody but no one would actually help me. 5 times in a row a representative would say “let me transfer you to Framingham” and I would spend around 20 minutes listening to their stupid song until someone would pick up the call only to transfer me to someone else. How hard can it be to look for a PCP? Don’t waste your time here
WORST PLACE EVER! read the reviews from 5 YEARS AGO! Thats five years ago and it has been the same reviews... whoever runs this clinic should be ashamed! BELIEVE THINGS OR CLOSE THIS CLINIC! Staff are so rude and they ALL DO NOT know how to do their job properly. unfortunately the person I help with medical appointments depends on this place the only that takes her insurance. I feel like I work for this place, evey appointment I make I have to call back to make sure it was done correctly same with referrals. They take 30 mins or more to answer the phone and because staff don't do their jobs right i spend 2hrs trying to fix what they did wrong. Please if you don't know need this clinic do not come here! They will make you stressed out and crazy!
