It's getting better at Markham. This intern who wrote an anonymous review seems to have had an awful experience but didn't speak up. We have many interns come to Markham to get their "feet wet" since sometimes it is used as a laboratory for programs to give their teachers experience in an "urban" school. In order to make a difference in a school like Markham, you have to go "all in". Yes, Markham is not perfect but it needs dedicated individuals who will do whatever it takes to provide students with the best education possible. And there are teachers at Markham who do their best and provide a safe haven for students who sometimes don't want to leave school. It is unfortunate visiting student teachers leave with a bad taste in their mouth but there was a student teacher who was hired as a science teacher and is doing well this year. We have three student teachers in science this year and they seem to be enjoying their school year so far. Many people still talk about Markham but they are based on opinions based on what happened 10 years ago. Come visit, learn and even try to help so we can continue to grow as a school and community. There are good things happening at Markham as well as things that we need help in. Hope to see you soon at Markham!
OMG i went to this school from 1990 to 1993 it was not good back then i have a lot of memories i was a quiet nice shy girl when i stared 6th grade and by the time i got 8th and fixing to go to high school i was so bad not cuz i wanted i had too thanks to a sweet lady that she was a counselor and i know i am not spelling her last name right but it was MRS. BARBAHASHY some thing like that because of her i stay in this school all the 3 years. and what can i say if you think the school is bad well move away it is WATTS it's a "like most people call it BAD SCHOOL " Hello dont forget its in WATTS its not South Gate or Hollywood!!!!
Best school ever my teacher Mr.ball denise jr was the best teacher I ever had and if you go to this school I hope you have him because he's a really nice ,fun ,and careing person.
This School was my school many years ago. I lived right accross the street from that school growing up. At 63 years old i was hoping id see the School agian but it's not in google maps, Wow..
