The location of the office was in a great area. It was easy to get to with plenty of parking. The staff was very courteous when you enter. The restroom was very clean. My nurse was Amanda West.She was extremely professional from the time she called my name to the time I left. She took the time to listen to my medical needs and insured the doctor was fully informed of the reason for my visit. If you’re receiving an injection, she will review the patient’s five rights and uses an acetic technique. Overall, it was a great experience. I have been a patient of hers and Dr. Matthew’s until he had to leave but am just as impressed with the new doctor, Dr. Bennett. Going to the doctor is never something you look forward to but this office is about as good as it gets.
I had a full hysterectomy done at Effingham Hospital!! I checked in at 5:45am. Dr Davis, my gynecologist preformed the operation and I was home by 3pm!! I truly can’t say enough about the efficiency and effectiveness and the professionalism that I received on the day of my surgery!! I’m thankful and so very grateful to the staff, the nurses, the anesthesiologists that took great care of me in a timely manner!! You guys are the bombdiggity!!!
Received great care from the ladies at the front desk to check in to pre-op, through the operation, to post op care. Everyone was very friendly and helpful most of all very caring to both me, the patient, and my wife, who had to wait for an hour plus. I would recommend that any medical operation that they can perform would be professionally completed by a competent staff of doctors, surgical staff, and support staff.
About 25 years ago, my partner almost bled out due to this hospital’s negligence. We had heard that it had improved since then and, being an emergency situation, we went to the ER last night. Triage took 50 minutes from arrival. After nearly 4 hours of waiting afterwards, I gave up and left the facility. 5 patients were checked out during that time & only 2 went to actual admission. Staff wouldn’t fulfill a request to even see the nurse to track my vital signs over the excessive waiting period. I will never return to this facility if I can help it. I feel certain that I would die waiting for them to even give a cursory once-over, let alone administer care.
I'm not sure what's up with this hospital but they call people name out of order! We been in the waiting room since 420 it is 605 and all we seen was the nurse in the front who check your vitals and the other one that checked you in. There's been MANY people who came 30 mins-an hour AFTER us that got called to the back before us! The lady said it is going off of people with chest pain, shortness of breathe, etcc but that is a bull lie! This lady who came after us complained about chest pain and her heart racing is still sitting in the waiting room with us. They skipped her name also and other people are getting called before the both of us. My fiance came with back, hips, and shoulder pain and I thought that would be an emergency but I guess not with this hospital. Memorial works faster than this and we should of gone that way. DO NOT COME TO THIS HOSPITAL !
I went to the emergency room and was seen within seconds had to have emergency surgery within hours of getting there. The staff was very nice and informative. My surgeon Dr. Wynn made me feel so comfortable I had no worries being I’m from out of town and had no family except my fiancé whom was coming from work. I had extensive wound care but had no one to do it. I was able to return to the hospital 2x a day until I was able to do it alone. My FMLA paperwork was immediately signed and received by my employer. 20/20 if that’s possible.
Waited nearly 5 hours to have a shard of plastic removed from spouses eye…. The laceration was bleeding into his eyeball the entire time. After nearly 3 hours I asked the receptionist if there was an accident or something,there were only 3 people there when we arrived and was told no. I then commented on the wait and asked if they were super busy and she told me it was shift change soon so they don’t bring anyone back usually during that time. We came in at 1626…. We left at 2047…. By my average they were taking one patient every 2-3 hours. During the long wait you could hear the staff socializing behind the er doors. It’s was infuriating! By the time we got back into a room, we saw at least 2 doctors and about 5 nurses!!!! All just standing around behind the center desk. Absolutely appalling. Disgusting the lack of concern for individuals coming into the EMERGENCY ROOM! Shame on you all. By the time we hit the room, doctor came in within 15min, stated “oh, you’ve got something stuck in your eye, let me see if I can get it out” grabbed a wet q-tip, and pushed the plastic shard out of the laceration and told my fiancée he was good to go. Total time doc was in the room? Less than 10min….. so tell me? I’m not a mathematician, but this time line isn’t adding up. You breeze in and out of a room, 30 min top, and there’s 2 of you on staff….. how was it that 3 patients were waiting on average 4-5 hours a piece? Never again even if my life depended on it because chances are? If your life depends on this ER? You’ll most likely end up dead anyways.
I actually had a really good experience here. Went in at 9 am on a Wednesday morning, and got in within five minutes. Everything was streamlined, everyone was very friendly and the process was smooth. I have no complaints. But then again, I am used to ERs in Atlanta that are much more cramped, crowded and delayed than this one!
I love how they treat me and are great Nurses like: Lori,Aneta & Amanda that are really nice person and kind,sweet and understanding and Dr.Jhon Bennett who understand how I was feeling and understood all my worries and my concerns about my health,medications and how I wanna change some of my health problems…. I Hope you Guy’s never have to leave,because if u guys leave; I’m leaving behind with u all too Thanks again for u all great Help and Services to others. If you are looking for a doctor that treats you like their own family then this is the place! I go to the one in Guyton and I see Dr Moore!!! She is the best and we all know it’s hard to find that good doctor! She will sit and listen to every concern you have. Thank you so much Dr Moore for all you do for me!
