Beach Park
The Eglin Beach Park is located on Okaloosa Island just west of the Destin Bridge and is open during summer months to all DoD personnel with proper ID—all military ranks, retirees, family members, civilian personnel (including all federal employees regardless of duty station) and federal facility contractors—and their guests.

The facility features 4 large pavilions, central deck area, 2 sets of restrooms with showers, and access to the Gulf. Beverages (non-alcoholic) and food items are available from several vendors.

For anything from a casual beach party or office off-site to an elaborate wedding on the sparkling white sands, you may reserve one of the deck pavilions for your special occasion.

April through October, admission fee is $3 per vehicle Monday through Friday, and $5 on weekends or holidays. Reservations of Pavilion 1 and 4 are available for private functions at a fee of $200 each PLUS parking fees, and may be made by contacting the Outdoor Recreation FAMCAMP at 850-883-1243.

Perfect for Weddings ! You can rent the whole beach for an exclusive private event!!! And if you just want a Pavilion, those are $500 each ! Bathrooms & showers are on the beach as well ! Absolutely beautiful!
The Elgin Beach Park is gorgeous! The huge, clean beach is composed of white sugar sand, and the water is crystal clear. Schools of tiny fish swim in the shallow water at the shore. Admission requires a DOD ID card. Parking costs $5 per vehicle. Beach umbrella and beach chair rentals are $5 each. The restrooms are clean and well-stocked. My husband and I enjoyed building sand castles on the beach, with two of our grandchildren. Recommended!
Quite possibly the best beach I’ve ever been to. This place has everything you need. It’s only 5$ to park and another 10$ to rent a chair and umbrella. This beach is never crowded and everyone is always friendly. 10/10
We held our 50th year reunion of Choctaw High School luncheon beach party. It was very clean and the bathrooms are very clean also. You do have to be active duty or retired veteran to get in. They did let us use it for the reunion though
Great place for service members to go chill out. Excellent beach, well maintained.
Beautiful beach, but more importantly was the staff that maintain and work at this place. Mindy was superb!! Standing out in that heat guiding traffic and still smiling. Way to go Mindy!! Tried to do an ICE form, but the system didn’t work. Team Eglin and FSS rock!
The beaches were incredible! There were so few people compared to other Destin beaches. If I ever come back to Destin, this will absolutely be my spot. Wish we found it on Day 1 instead of our last day. $5 parking was worth it! ID was required as well.
As usual the children had fun. Stormy weather or not. This was our first time back since Irma and Maria and the beach still looks great although somewhat different. We now pay for parking which was not the case a couple years back. Overall, we will keep coming back from North Atlanta because aside from the surrounding fun for families, it is a family town for militaries. It gives you an air of safety. My icing on the cake will always be the glistening military beach bods under a bright sunny day.
Technically this beach is closes November through March but my family went here in the end of March. Awesome!! Just a handfull of other families amd we were all spread out about 100' from each other. Gorgeous dunes with nesting birds going back and forth to the shore. Watched a big bird come up from the water with a little shark in its grasp! So fun!
Beautiful, comfortable, safe, inclusive. Today was our first time at Englin Beach. We will definitely be back soon! Bring your boogie board!
