July 6, 2022 We went to the ER yesterday for my husband's health. We checked in and I was extremely upset by the way the ER waiting room was seating people so close, not enforcing masking. The guy who performed my husband's CT wasn't wearing his mask and said he "thinks" he's immune!! My husband responded, "I'm not immune, you could be passing it to me!" This is correct. I've been an RN for 45 years and masking protects those around you from you!! We waited from 2:30 to 6:30 and then four security guards came and told us that all visitors must leave because "things" we're going to get busier. This photo was taken at 5:15pm. It wasn't any busier when we were told to leave. They brought in sheriff deputies to remove patient families. Please note that the pic has identities hidden of those not wearing masks.
Stay away from this hospital was there for 6 hours and would ask about how long wait is and front desk would even get mad telling me there’s ppl been waiting longer and that it’s on urgency . STAY AWAY !! They have no regards for well being they see sick ppl daily to them it’s nothing. I witnessed one patient having trouble even catching his breath And they simply told him not to worry he would live …. Like really man’s dying and you’re making jokes !!!
3 night/4 days my daughter was taken in with kidney infection 1st and 2nd night were great Chris and Kasia, nurses where on top of it. The day time nurse Anne could care less I had to find ways to refill my daughters water when they are pushing fluids but not providing. And when her fever and headache were bad trying to get a Tylenol was a mission. And all around attitude and lack of attention not even a good bye feel better. We were discharged this morning and my daughter started feeling nauseous. They had her on nausea medicine so I called to see if we can get that prescribed and they said I have to call her primary physician. It is Sunday it is close they said sorry she’s not in our system anymore. She’s been discharged. I really had enough I’m so exhausted and disappointed. The gentleman that wheeled her out gets five stars. So glad to be out of there
A couple of weeks ago, 12 hours after getting my Covid booster, seasonal flu, and pneumonia vaccinations, in the early morning hours, I passed out and fell back onto the stone floor in our kitchen. I got quite a cut in the back of my head as well as a badly split lip. I was taken by ambulance to the emergency room at Eisenhower Health. They stitched and stapled me up, checked me over very carefully, and then held me overnight for observation. Thinking back on on my experience at the hospital, I have nothing but compliments for each and every person who shared in my care. They were kind, compassionate, and gentle with me. They were quick to my room when I needed assistance. Everything seemed orderly and clean. I even enjoyed the food. At the conclusion of my stay, the dr. on the floor recommended that I stop taking one of my blood pressure medications. This action was later confirmed by my cardiologist. I am grateful to everyone at the hospital for taking excellent care of me.
I have had several surgeries at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage and I have been extremely happy with everyone involved in my care. I intentionally choose Eisenhower doctors who all have access to my records on-line. Sometimes I’ve changed doctors as a personal choice but most times because my doctor moved out of the area. I’m happy with my choices now.
I’m am so over this emergency room, second time here in the last few weeks and I’m about to leave without being seen by a doctor. I have been in the waiting room for 4 hours, no medicine, no treatment. Others have been waiting for 8-10 hours. How is it possible to keep people waiting this long and not give them any medicine, we’re expected to sit and wait in pain and discomfort?? What kind of hospital is this??Aren’t we paying for TREATMENT?? Also, I was here in April with EXTREME, EXTREME stomach pain. I had a hernia that came through the mesh from a previous surgery and strangled my stomach. From the moment I got here by ambulance till they decided to operate on me was over 48 hours. Everything took soooooo long!!!! If it would be much longer I could’ve potentially had almost half of my stomach removed. Major portions of my stomach were deep, deep purple, almost black. I don’t know what I would’ve done if I did lose a portion of my stomach due to the negligence of this hospital.
Labor and delivery staff get a 5 stars!! From the nurses I had and the doctors who all attended, all handled me with so much care and compassion! Post partum care was also 5 stars!! Thank you all so much for being so caring and kind during our birth and stay. We appreciate it more than anything!!
Billing office customer service and direct supervisor need training on how to communicate professionally and in a more courteous manner. Purposefully making a point regardless of the situation to more effectively speak to any "customer"because anyone calling on the phone is a customer...potentially or currently who calls with inquiries in line with your hospital mission statement would be best practice. Specifically this piece.... treating the community toward optimal wellness by exemplifying our core values of safety, efficiency, clinical excellence, provision of a healing environment and courtesy & caring. Unfortunately, that was not my experience and I was cut off passively aggressive when I asked to speak to the supervisor. The supervisor herself was not professional and her phone voice was very implicit of that. Customer service really can be effective in providing good relations and feelings that you never forget and want to take your business there again. Unfortunately, these employees do not impart the feeling that I would like to return to this hospital or have family members go there either.
Eisenhower is the new JFK! My daughter spiked a 106 fever and we did everything that we were supposed to do second child we cooled her down, gave her Tylenol and hurried up and put her in the tub. We contacted our insurance nurse but we were on hold for an hour and we rushed to Eisenhower. The RN Matthew was amazing and was the only person that treated us like we were at a hospital and not a hotel waiting to be roomed. Not our first child so we know that the wait would be more than 5hrs, we came prepared. The security guard was acting like a bouncer and rudely telling people they had to leave even though they were waiting for their loved one who just went back. We finally were taken to the back and we waited some more, everyone had an attitude and I couldn’t believe how rudely they were acting, as if patients weren’t behind the curtains. Six patients had up and left and when one employee said something, the nurse that was bilingual said “oh they left? Que vayan con dios” translation.. go be with God!!! I couldn’t believe it and I told my partner to get our child and belongings and I opened the curtain, there she was texting and I told whoever was there to hear that we were leaving as well because I just about had it with the attitude. We continued monitoring our child. If it’s an emergency, trust your instincts and call for an ambulance. Oh and the security guard enjoyed kicking people out because he followed us to the back and when they asked him “oh what you’re bored” he responded by saying “I’m just here cleaning house” Unbelievable. We’re Palm Desert residents and live 5min away, I hope there is never a situation like this, and if there is, we will make the extra drive to Desert Regional.
My fiancé and I were here for the birth of our child and while we were staying there I was attacked by bed bugs on the couch and recliner. my fiancé stated and told the nurses that there is blood on the bed from the previous patient and the nurses did NOTHING about it. Was not a pleasant experience Their cleanliness is terrible and needs readjusting. Some nurses were really rude about the whole situation.
