Delicious authentic Mexican food! We went here for brunch & it was a GREAT TIME! The dishes all had great flavors! Staff was welcoming, service was on point. Would highly recommend this place. Better to make reservations
I liked the food, but I must say they position themselves on more of a fancy/gourmet side so everything is more expensive and less plentiful than we are used to seeing in Mexican restaurants. The cocktails are really good. The wait was unreasonably long although the first floor was empty. Every place seems to be understaffed these days. I'd recommend reservations.
Brunch was lovely. Would recommend for the price. Enjoyed the small plates and the drinks were good. The bloody was spicy and and mimosas were good, but not great, and flowed freely. Chiliquiles and tacos were great.Recommended dishesBottomless Brunch
Best bottomless brunch ever!!! This place is a game changer when it comes to bottomless brunch! Food came out on perfect timing, drinks never stopped and the ambience was just too cheerful and pleasant!! Special shout out to our amazing server Joyce and Ed! They are excellent!
I went for brunch and was amazed that they had a tasting brunch menu with not only unlimited drinks, but with an unlimited tasting menu as well only for 2 hours max. The food came out fast, was good and it's a good location to hang out with friends, catch-up and leave with a full stomach... and possibly...with a little buzz. The plates consisted of tacos of pork, chicken and beef, plantains, nachos and more. Dessert was a delicious churro. Would recommend for anyone looking for a brunch that's a good price and good amount.
I've come here for brunch and more recently their happy hour. Brunch experience was good, it's bottomless mimosas, bloody Mary's or margs. It's a fixed menu and each person gets a sample of everything on their brunch menu. Several tacos and breakfast staples. Some were good and some were ok. They have great churros though. Happy hour experience was pretty good too. Drinks are half off and tacos are $3.50 which is a steal. I got their chicken quesadilla and a chicken tinga taco. We also split their roasted corn guacamole which was a hit! So delicious. The quesadilla is really good too! Again we got the churros as well which came with 3 dipping sauces. I definitely prefer their happy hour experience over brunch. I just personally wasn't a fan of some of the food given at brunch, so the option to choose your order at happy hour is better for me.
We choose El Centro during DC winter Restaurant Week... Customer service was efficient and enjoyable. Decided to go with the HH MENU upon arrival.. the tortilla soup was the best dish, followed by the gauc, then tacos. The margaritas are also fresh and flavorful. I loved all the seating options as well, would definitely return for another HH experience
Want a brunch place where the drinks keep flowing and the foods keeps coming? El Centro is the answer. Their bottomless brunch can't be beat in a cool, but exciting atmosphere. Definitely make reservations.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: No
it’s a higher end mexican place and overall the food was good. there was nothing particularly special about the menu but it was a good experience nonetheless. the al pastor tacos were good and it came with rice and beans. the guacamole was fresh and hot sauce actually a pleasant hot. the waiters and staff are really accommodating and even asked about dietary restrictions and allergies right after handing out the menus.
Review based on drinks: the margarita was excessively sweet, no trace of alcohol or anything else except for sugar syrup and lime. We returned it for a second one with less sugar, it came tasting the same. When I shared this with the waiter, he simply said he "tried to tell the bartender not to make it sweet" as if we're operating under the mercy of the bartender's moods when ordering a drink. We were charged for both drinks, neither of which was drank. Feedback: Make good margaritas that are not 80% sugar. Or offer optionality like a boba shop if you're keen on super sugary drinks. If the customer does not touch the drink, don't charge them for it; the $11 is not worth it.
