El Chupacabra Alki

About

El Chupacabra is best described as a punk rock cantina. We serve tasty drinks and great food!

Description

The first 'Chup' pened in March 16th 2005 at the Phinney Ridge location with just barely enough money scraped up and calling in favors from the owners friends and family. The old juke box was filled with their favorite punk rock and heavy metal tunes. The menu was simple and all written on a chalk board by the kitchen. Burritos and Tacos, four meat choices and tons of fresh homemade salsa, rice, beans and all the fixins. With no advertising and a simple menu the two just figured they sell a few burritos to their friends and get a few people in for the good beer and cocktails. Seattle was hungry for good, fresh, homemade Mexican food liked the relaxed atmosphere, great prices, and the people keep coming hungry for more. In 2011 we opened a second location on Alki Beach. We also have a location on SLU opened 2015!

"El Chupacabra Alki opened in 2011 as the sister restaurant to El Chupcacbra on Greenwood and serves up the Mexican food and drinks in a fun atmosphere. It has become one of the staple establisments on Alki bringing its own flair to the beach community."

Overall amazing food A bit spicy, everything is but the tase and texture, design and after taste are all absolutely fantastic. The service overall here is great, this time however I got the wrong food they fix it immediately the waitress/waiter were a but disinterested And they forgot our salsa until we were done with the food and about to leave. But again, nice people, these things happens Atmosphere is lovely, i just wish the upstairs was open more often to use And i wish the patio had more room or better chairs. But for its place is still so fun and good music.
I ordered Huevos Racheros without additional meat. My over easy eggs needed to be more runny. The salsa on the huevos racheros was plain. I needed more kick in the salsa. We ordered chips and guacamole with many salsa. That helped a lots. My friend ordered the batter fish tacos, the batter was too thick. Enchiladas, my friend said it was good. Service was ok, but she was taking care outside and inside tables.
Hands down the best food!!! Our server was Leeda & she was exceptional! We drove up from Portland for the day in Seattle for my sister's bday & we found this place on pure luck & its so good.
Food was ok. Beer battered fish taco was nice and crispy with a good flavor. Wasn't a fan of their asada personally. It was a busy Friday night, and the staff was nice, but they forgot our drinks and starter. Great location and free street parking. Indoor and outdoor seating available.
We ordered an assortment of jalapeño poppers from here, the quantity, flavor, and service are commendable. Nonetheless, the small size of the venue leads to considerable congestion at times, here at El Chupacabra on Alki Avenue. Despite that, the beachfront location is exceptional, and during the golden hour, this place really glows. Location: El Chupacabra, Alki, Seattle
Group of 6 and we were seated right away. Food came out quick and our server was nice and attentive. We asked for salsa and he brought out plenty of options. Mango lemonade was bomb!
This place is so vibey, even the bathroom. Food was really good, but not the best I've ever had. Shrimp enchiladas and Carne chimi. Service and windy beachy dining were A+Food: 4/5
We were looking for a stopping point for lunch and stopped in. We were greeted with a kind hostess and our server was also kind. We ordered, chips and salsa, posole soup, tacos and quesadilla. All are a good size and reasonably priced. The selection of hot sauce was also nice.
Great attentive service, good food, and a fun bar like atmosphere. Photos without flash show normal lighting within the restaurant.Food: 5/5
Called in here on the 4th July for a couple of beers. First impression we nearly walked out but a bad review was saved by our server Jesús. Great lad on the ball quickly answered my questions with good recommendations. We also had the chips and Salsa Fresca both was fresh and the salsa fresca was amazing. Didnt eat but the food looked excellant
