Stopped in because I saw or heard of this place somewhere. Bought an assortment of items to try. The sugar donut with rice pudding filling is very good. So far the other items don't seem to make my taste buds dance. I will come back for more of the donuts when in the area.
I ordered a large Tres Leches cake for my Mother’s 90th Birthday celebration. Excellent cake. Absolutely no leftovers, which is usually not the case with cakes at my home. I had overnight guest asking for more the next day. Success. Hope the Red Velvet that I have ordered for another birthday bash is equally good.
Grabbed some pastries for the office and everyone has very much enjoyed them. The artistry of the pieces is remarkable, and the flavors are explosive. One of the comments was how fresh the pastry tasted.
All of their bread and tamales are delicious! My family and I really enjoy the 3 leches cake.
Delicious baked goods with authentic flair. I don't know what anything was, but the 3 options I had tasted awesome. Staff was patient and kind to this newcomer.
Their Elotes in a cup are really good! The corn was sweet, the mixture was perfect. We also had some bread which my kids loved and their tamales, those were also very good. It's hard to find a place that makes homemade, daily tamales anymore. The lady at the register was friendly, and very nice. Highly recommend this place :
The total experience was great this morning! We're looking forward to coming back again soon to continue to enjoy these delicious baked goods. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The smells we're absolutely glorious and worth the trip alone in my opinion.
A very nice and friendly family-owned neighborhood Mexican bakery. Andrea at the cash register is such a warm and helpful lady! She offered me a sample slice of corn pie and that was so delicious. I ended up getting 2 slices plus some sugar donuts which I enjoyed thoroughly. I really like the fact that their items weren't too sweet at all, and that's just how I like my desserts in general.
This place was amazing and I’m shocked it didn’t have a massive line out the door. If only others knew about it they would. I was wanting something sweet for a birthday breakfast. Ended up buying a bunch of concha and something I can describe only as a sugared donut with vanilla custard filling. When we walked in the guy said he had fresh tamales and we bought a few simply because they smelt so good. They ended up being the best tamales I’ve ever ate. And that statement would offend a lot of people I know who make tamales
I called coming from 355 and lemont rd at 3:43 on a Sunday which they close at four, because I desperately needed some goods for a surprise to brighten someone’s day up during all this. As I explained I promise I’ll speed and be there by four I was told warmly and compassionately don’t worry we understand. Upon arrival the store was in great shape and the selections were endless I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for baked goods
