El Fenix (The Phoenix in Spanish), which is a mythological bird that rises from the ashes, is a family owned business with more than 70 years experience supporting the operation and quality of their goods and services. Alfonso Yeo, the owner's grandfather, started a small business named "El Fenix" in La Merced, the retail capital at that time in the heart of Mexico City, in 1948 selling only groceries, dry chilies and spices. He later moved to Sahuayo, a small town in the State of Michoacán in central Mexico, where with the help of his children became one of the biggest distributors of the area.
Angeles and Alberto aware of the need of a growing Hispanic community in Rancho Santa Margarita and neighboring communities, decided to take advantage of their legacy and create their own history, bringing home closer in a warm and friendly atmosphere, always with one priority in mind, SERVICE and QUALITY.
