Absolutely love this place! Whether it’s a tasty treat or lunch for my team, El Gordo Mexican Bakery is my go to! Super friendly service and their social media is always up to date. You can’t go wrong here!

The baked goods are outstanding. Most of the goodies are not as sweet as standard bakery fare so don't expect lots of sugary sweetness. It's always just enough sugar. You pick your own to go so it is an adventure! The staff are very kind and helpful. They have a tres leches cake that is fantastic. There are these meat, cheese and jalapeno rolls that are fantastic.

Favorite new taco joint in Peoria. Chicken tacos are phenomenal.

The MOST authentic Mexican food I have had since visiting Mexico. We bought a dozen tamales and was pleasantly surprised. A lot of Mexican food tends to get "White Washed" but not at this place. We will be going back. Hopefully their tables inside will be available again. Rating A++ Over the top OUTSTANDING!

Really outstanding! I went today for the first time and get some random stuff, one of each of most of the chocolate things I could find. Everything was excellent, and I can't wait to go back. I want to try everything they make, esp. tamales, my favorite food of all time.

The staff was super friendly. The food was even better than the service. Torta bread was butter and soft. Tacos were delicious and meaty. The choose your own fixings provides a delightful assortment to each menu item.

This has quickly become one of my new favorite places in town. The owner and staff are extremely nice and all the food is excellent. I especially like the lunchtime grill. I think the price of the burrito is a tad expensive and wish it came with something extra or cost less but the quality is fantastic.

Outstanding! Delicious!! Baked treats change with the seasons!! Currently they’re making Tres Leches cakes for Valentines!! Call to place an order. It’s SOOOO GOOD. My whole family says it’s the best cake they’ve ever had. Incredibly moist and divine!!!

So I've been to this bakery before but this was my first time trying their street tacos, let me just say he's talking hit the spot, traditional tacos made with love and the man preparing them definitely knew what he was doing also the red and green salsas with the best I've ever had kudos to him or whoever prepared these they were delicious will definitely be back with my husband for many more tacos to come.

I placed an order here a week in advance to have some pastries ready for a party. I called yesterday as well and was told they’d be ready. I get a call 2 hours before I was supposed to go pick up my pastries telling me they sold them and their baker wasn’t there today. Very unprofessional. Taking my business to the next panadería.
