El Gran Patron Mexican Restaurant

We were in town to visit the WV Penitentiary and both our hotel front desk and a local recommended this place. So glad they did! Delicious food, awesome margarita’s and great atmosphere. They had live music playing and he was really good and everyone was extremely friendly. Great food, drinks and staff, what else do you need? Highly recommend if you are in the area!!

El Gran Patron has awesome Mexican food and very friendly staff, there are a lot of events throughout the week trivia, live music, etc which aren't really my cup of tea but it's a great atmosphere paired with great food and a wonderful staff. Vegetarian options: Great vegetarian options especially with the beans.

We were passing through Moundsville from out of state and wanted Mexican food for lunch, so glad we stopped there! The waiter was nice and friendly, the place was clean and the food was excellent! Will definitely stop there again if we are in the area!

El Gran Patron is nothing special. Their food is OKAY to say at best, but the service is almost non-existant and when they do talk to you it’s short and everyone working looks like they don’t want to be there. When we walked in the host didn’t say hello until I did. Our server never greeted us or told us her name, just came over and asked what we want to drink. All I can really say is it’s just OKAY. You can find much better places for similar prices

Never had a Bad Dish here...THE FOOD IS FANTASTIC!!..The service was great and we where there when they first unlocked the doors and where ready to serve you..that says alot about a place..food was hott and authentic .. This is now our go to place... 3 years we have been going here and the food and service is Fantastic.. Never a let down ..wish I could move next door..now I wish I would have brought home more left over..

Great Mexican food served by nice and efficient staff. Wonderful family atmosphere.
