Service was great! Waitress was friendly and easy to speak with. Price was extremely reasonable, very generous with the amount of food and food was delicious. We are visiting from South Texas for a family emergency and were surprise when we found home quality Mexican food.
Everytime I order food from this place they screw something up. I NEVER receive limes when I ask for them despite the $1 charge for ordering it. This time we specified that they are not to forget them, and they sent us home with lemons. I’m furious. Once or twice, fine it’s not a big deal. But it’s EVERY time. They also didn’t even make an entire meal form our order. It’s just completely missing. This restaurant is just a mess. There are lots of Mexican restaurants in this town. I wouldn’t recommend this one. Update: upon returning to get the missing meal, we were told the reason they gave us lemons was because they were out of limes. Instead of just saying that and saving the $2 charge for something we didn’t ask for, they thought lemons would taste the same. We asked for them to make a new one of the meals, as it had been sitting on the counter for a long time and would have been soggy and cold by then. They had the AUDACITY, to scold us and say “sure but next time you need to pick it up on time”. THE AUDACITY. Ma’am, you’re the ones who just didn’t give it to us when we picked it up the first time??? Absolutely never been more annoyed with a restaurant before.
Such a cozy spot. The Service- so kind, polite and very attentive . I quite enjoyed my Chile relleno, fried in and egg batter & not deep fried. I can appreciate the healthier alternative. Cheers! ~salud~
Ordered tacos for to-go. Great chicken tacos! The veggies are spicy and adding green sauce is a nice addition. Nice of them to add the fork inside the box so that the utensil doesn't get dirty when carrying.Food: 5/5
Great food that came out very fast. Serving sizes were very generous and were very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.
The menu items looked delicious and it was hard to pick something. I'd read some prior reviews and wanted something that provided a bit of a variety. So I chose the Trio Burritos. I wasn't disappointed at all. It was all really tasty. My wife got chicken and shrimp fajitas. It was very good as well.
This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Pocatello. Very good food and the portion sizes are bigger than you expect. We had the street tacos and a tostada. You get so much food for your money. Highly recommend!
We have been loyal customers of El Herradero for 20 years, and raved about their food and prices to everyone. Ordered delivery tonight via Grub Hub fast delivery!. The food received tasted like it came out of a can; worst enchilada sauce I've ever had in my life, could not even choke it down. Imagine raw tomato paste mixed with chili powder and water, uncooked. Tacos contained no meat at all, only runny beans. Meal of two plates of enchiladas mystery meat, two tacos of runny beans and a cup of salsa did not receive cost us $40. I guess their practices of quality tasty food at a reasonable price have changed. Bleh.
Love the Street Tacos! I might have tried a burrito once.... but I'm addicted to the Street Tacos. They aren't very expensive. Their green salsa is really good and I don't normally like green salsa and with a bit of lime and cheese on the Street Tacos... omg... Yummm!! You gotta ask for the extra "queso" but my wife and I can eat here for under $30. It's an insanely good value. This place can get busy and be at capacity at times.... but that's a sign they are that good...and the service is really good and your food is up usually pretty fast. Much faster than most sit down restaurants. Really nice family feel to the place. To the gal who is complaining about the lemons she got instead of limes... I'm sorry, I got your limes... I always get limes for the Corona and Street tacos... I haven't seen them run out yet. So blame me. I ate your limes. Local Tip: By the way, some of the folks there are ESL... but know Spanish fluently... so feel free to try to speak Spanish with them or use the Google Translate app on your phone so they understand what you are asking for. First time I was asking for extra cheese and sour cream... my server let me know they didn't know what I was asking for so we worked on our language barrier with smiles on our faces. Now they help me with my Spanish. They are good people! I'm almost ready for a trip to Cabo!
This place is great! We got chimichangas, Carne asada fries and a flauta. We loved it all! Maribel was our server and she was so kind and did a great job!
