Stoped for lunch while visiting the area. Was seated quickly and our server Daniella was very nice and attentive. She offered suggestions or popular menu items from her experience. The chips could have been salted and the hot salsa was not spicy at all. The mild salsa was very tasty and when we mixed the two together they weren’t bad. I ordered a lunch special Godfather Chico Burrito with pork. The pork was tender but the plate could have used a little salt or at least leave salt and pepper on the table. I’m told that the Asada tacos were awesome, so maybe the next time I will order them. Lunch was very affordable and food came quick enough that there was plenty of time to eat before heading back to work.
I visited this place in the late morning for some breakfast. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The landscaping is pleasant to eye and would make for a nice romantic date on the patio on a Spring or Autumn night. The interior decoration is very festive and seemed themed for every section of the restaurant, making it a good destination to have a business brunch meeting, or taco night with friends. The vibe was very laid back and chill when I visited, I don't know if it's always that way, but I'd assume it's not when it's busy. The food is delicious and the price is fair. The service was awesome, I really enjoyed conversing with our waitress and other staff, they were very friendly.
Friendly servers and staff. Food was sufficient in quantity, and flavor was very good. Their salsa was delicious as well, especially the hour version. You can tell a lot about a restaurant by the restrooms.... Very clean and stocked well. Thank you El Palacio for lunch, you did great!
I had not been here in over ten years and my husband had never been and we decided to grab a late lunch there. A bit skeptical and kind of over the taco Tuesday thing but still wanted Mexican food. We walked in and the atmosphere is so fun! Every employee there was really friendly and helpful. We decided to take a seat at the bar, we rarely have a drink, but decided to try one of the margaritas, and it was really good! I asked for a little extra triple sec, but it was definitely good. We also ordered horchata, and so far, it's my favorite in town! I like it sweet so it hit the spot for me! My husband asked for recommendations and he ended up choosing what the bartender suggested, chilaquiles, and he absolutely loved it! I also loved my chimichanga! The beans were really flavorful and the chicken inside was really moist and the flakiness of the tortilla was just awesome. They had this cute "photo booth" area. We felt very welcome and look forward to coming back.
A genuine Mexican restaurant with real Mexican food. We had a delicious dinner and my wife had a tasty mango margarita. She also had the Tuesday and Thursday special, 99 cent beef tacos and they were really good. My huevos rancheros were some of the best I've ever had. Plenty of parking, a full bar and great prices. What else could you want?
Great Mexican food and very attentive service. The crunchy ground beef taco was really delicious, chili relleno was so tasty, and the chips & salsa yummy. Even the bathrooms were nice! Lol
Excellent food and service. Really good fresh chips and salsa, the spicy salsa is really tasty. I had the chile verde burrito which I love and make fresh myself, and this was very authentic tasting with onions mixed in with the pork in a soupy green sauce. I would prefer more meat than veggies, but that's always the tradeoff when getting a burrito. Refried beans were good, and I really wanted to try the albondigas soup because it would have been good I bet. Thanks for the food and service.
Really great service and food. A lot of menu choices and the pricing wasn't bad. I had the Godfather Chico Burrito, which is a Chile Relleno inside a burrito. Never seen that before so I had to give it a whirl. Glad I did as it was delicious.
UPDATE: I picked up the complimentary fajita salad. I got it "to go" as I usually do and it was the most delicious salad I have had. Plenty of meat and tons of veggies. I think it is the best Mexican salad in town. I ordered to go the "fajita salad with beef" and the salad I got has 3 pieces of beef on it! A total waste of money. I was there a week earlier, and ate in house and the salad was full of yummy beef. The restaurant was busy and Seems as if they try and cheap.out the "to go" customers. I'm seriously disappointed. Be sure you open up your to go orders, because this is a waste of money. Update: I did speak with the management and they are very willing to make it right. I'll update if that doesnt happen. This is my favorite restaurant in town, and it's nice to know they will.listen and try to fix the issue.
The best flavor this place serves is WET. I hate being negative and brutal, but sadly I have absolutely nothing positive to say about my family's visit. The menu we were only allowed to have one was old, faded, and sticky *gross.* The laminant was peeling off off! The margarita my wife ordered was not the margarita she got and it was watered down and very very bland. My teenager was super happy about getting some queso dip but that is not available at this restaurant. But not only is this the only mexican restaurant that doesn't serve queso, this is also the first time I've ever visited a place that limited the chips to one order per table, but that turned out okay because the chips were stale, the salsa was runny and also very bland. The most telling thing is that I have three hungry kids who LOVE chips and salsa but our bowl remained half full. While we are staring at chips and salsa that nobody wants drinking unexciting margaritas I begin to notice how dirty the carpets are and how many tables haven't been bussed. This is the point we should have paid for our drinks and gone anywhere else. But we are brave explorers and ordered. The kids quesadillas do not come with any side, no rice, no beans. Just a plain unseasoned quesadilla served naked on a chipped plate. We had the luck of getting the opportunity to get our silverware off another table since our server didn't bother to do this for our family and was nowhere to be seen. My wife ordered the fajita sandwich. The bun was burned and soggy, wet soggy. The onions and peppers were soaked with oil. The sirloin had no discernable flavor other than wet. The best thing about her plate was the store bought frozen french fries. I ordered the "mexican flag" which was 3 enchilades. I love me some enchiladas! What i was given was just a soggy wet runny mess. The chicken tasted off and I could only get 2 bites down before giving up. I move on to the beef enchilada with red sauce. One bite in my mouth and one bite back out into a napkin. I am a big fat man. I don't spit food out. I know sound like I'm being a dramatic little princess but I am a big fat man. I don't spit food out. This enchilada was so disgusting I had a hard time not wretching. So now all of us are STILL begging for refills on our drinks but that will take a long time to accomplish. My wife and I send our plates back which is the first time I've sent food back in over 15 years. I was not looking forward to the uncomfortable conversation I was going to have to have with the manager about why two plates went back to his kitchen but fortunately for me he never bothered to stop by. Just a run down awful place with absolutely no joy at all.
