Love this place for their menudo, and everything else on their menu. The servers aren't very good, but the food is worth it. I do have to say, our last server was very accommodating. I took my mother out for lunch there she hadn't been in for a couple of years due to bad service I am confident to say she will be going back.
First time visit and it was pretty tasty. I had the ground beef chimichanga and added a side of Mexican rice. The wait service had a great sense of humor and a delight. I'll be back to try the chili Colorado which she recommended for next time.
Stopped off to eat on our way back to Nevada. The building is misleading, as we weren't sure it was ever in business 3:30pm on a Sunday. There weren't many cars outside either but we went inside. First off, their salsa was pretty good as it actually had a little heat & good flavor. When our dinners came, the portions were a good size & the food was tasty. I really liked the beans & rice too. I'd definitely stop in again on our way through town!
My family and I really like the food, it tasted fresh and was filling! They have really good guacamole. I’d definitely say try it, my only complaint is they didn’t have horchata but it’s not a deal breaker. The waitress was very kind and even accidentally put my order in wrong but hurried to correct the issue and apologized a ton. Husband said you have to try the beef enchiladas
Best place for authentic Mexican food. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food is freshly made and cooked to perfection. The soup tastes just like my Mother's homemade soup. I can't say enough great things about this place. El Rinconcito is Nampa's best kept secret for Mexican Food!
Our first visit. Ambiance was not great, but the food was incredible. True to it's heritage and not "Americanised". Loved it all. Definitely sets a new benchmark for us for Mexican cuisine in the Treasure Valley.
Went to eat at this place for the first time. the minute we get there its seat yourself. We had someone brings us chips but never take our order for drinks. Took them about ten minutes to take our order and again NEVER asked for our drink order. They charge three dollars for a small cup and 1 free refill.Expensive menu for little food. Food was not good, my sister got sick from eating the ground beef and they charge a gratuity of 15% when the service was crappy. Will not be returning...
I had went there hoping to get what all the glowing reviews were speaking about and I have to say I was really disappointed. I was the only customer in the restaurant for most of the time and I had to speak up about getting a refill on my water when my glass was empty for a good long while in plain sight. Their soft drinks are $3.00 with one refill, that's insane. Overpriced for food that I thought was very bland. Almost $12.00 for two chicken enchiladas and a beef tostada and that was with just my water. Then after waiting a long time I just decided to walk up to the counter to finally get checked out. I will never go there again and I do not recommend this place until they lower their prices and get better at customer service.
The food was good, but the service was poor. There were 2 other tables besides us and one of them was finished eating. We asked for a refill on the salsa which you will be charged for, after waiting more than 5 minutes I went up to the counter and asked the waitress for it a second time. She said she would bring it out and that our food that I saw being pulled out of a microwave was just coming out. I told her nevermind on the salsa since the chips and salsa are an appetizer. I had ordered chicken tacos. The chicken had no sauce or spices to flavor it. Just plain shredded chicken breast, a little bit of lettuce, a couple of shreds of white cheese and a few tomato chunks were all that was inside the tortilla. Another waitress took over our table after I let her know that the food was disappointing. And although the original waitress was standing a few feet away as we paid and left a tip, she didn't even look our direction or bother to say thank you. We may give the place a second try, and I will order something other than the disappointing tacos - but the service we were given on our first visit is enough to tempt me to give my business to one of the many other Mexican restaurants in the area instead.
The best Mexican food I've had in a long time. Homemade guacamole with tomato & onion they give you a choice was great! Chile relleno was delicious. Fair prices & good service.
