Bill Buchelt began his photography studio over 20 years ago. During that time, he has photographed over 800 weddings in addition to creating images for corporations, advertising agencies, national magazines, and news organizations.

Bill’s unique shooting style incorporates modern posing techniques with a natural talent to capture the spontaneity of a moment. His work has been recognized by numerous organizations, gaining him both a national and an international clientele.

Bill and his team are the ABSOLUTE BEST when it comes to this work. Bill is beyond experienced for all your photography needs; whether it's pictures of the kids or professional headshots, Bill has you covered! Not only is Bill amazing at what he does, but he is also very involved with his local community as the president of the Lisle Partners for Parks Foundation. Bill is an amazingly kind and talented guy running an A++ company.
Working with Élan Photography has been absolutely wonderful! Bill was very accommodating with our schedule and shoot preferences. The session was a blast, and we are thrilled with the shots he captured of our family. The post production process was also smooth and enjoyable. Thank you, Élan!
Bill and his team photographed our football and cheer organization and it was an amazing experience. Due to supply chain issues we did not yet all have our competition tops in yet, only our game day tanks but parents wanted pictures in the long sleeves. Bill and his team generously photographed every girl in their tank, and also in their long sleeve if requested. We were able to be matching in team photos and for those that wanted the long sleeves they were able to get those pictures as well. This made an extremely stressful experience so much better. This is our 2nd year using them. Last year we weren’t fans of the background so they came back and listened to our feedback and changed backgrounds. Great people to work with!
This personable photography studio gets far better shots than any other place that has photographed my kids. My boys have been swimming with the Glen Ellyn Gators since we arrived in Glen Ellyn. Every year the quality of the sports portraits is outstanding. We look forward to our annual Gator photos.
I have consistently had issues with Elan Photography. I have tried to be patient, but the frequency of the issues to me reflects a lack of care from the company. Most recently, my daughter’s hair was a mess in her pictures despite her going to school looking well put together. This is especially frustrating because this is the second time this year the photographer could not be bothered with smoothing down her hair that was completely sticking up. In her yearbook picture, she has a huge chunk of hair sticking straight to the side while all the rest lies flat that the photographer apparently thought was acceptable. Now in her spring pictures, she has hair that looked like she literally rolled out of bed. I want to give professional pictures to her grandparents but I have not been able to at all this year because they do not look professional. In years past, I was told that when my son had a water stain on his shirt from his water bottle they just figured I did not care how the pictures came out. They could have easily aimed a little higher and cropped it out, but they did not. It was as if they wanted to capture that for his yearbook picture for everyone to see. They fixed it in my prints, but not the yearbook, and only after I spoke up because it was already retakes because my son was sick on the original picture day. I have seen photography companies over the years taking school pictures and they always, always check things like this. I understand things get missed, but this seems like whoever is taking the pictures could care less what they actually look like. Mistakes happen, but when the same thing happens over and over, it reflects on the lack of care and quality of the company as a whole. I would never willingly bring my business here.

We have been working with Elan Photography for 15+ years. They do an incredible job each year as the photographers for our Father Daughter Dances. Bill is a delight to work with and he and his team are always prompt, professional, and reliable. Receiving a framed photo is one of the biggest highlights of the event, and many of our attenders come back year after year so they can add another photo to their collection! I highly recommend Elan Photography.
LOVE my son's basketball pictures! We've been taking sports pics for 4 years now . . . Basketball, football, and soccer. Elan Photography is BY FAR my favorite! They were extremely professional and very efficient. They took individual pictures and turned them into a team photo . . . Everyone is looking and smiling . . . the background is a subtle team logo . . . PERFECT! I will recommend them to all of his coaches going forward!
Bill is so great to work with. He is patient and super friendly with kids. We always have awesome photos from Elan!
