For a first time kayaker, what a great experience! Easy to book online, pricing was fair and the young man that took care of me was friendly and helpful. He carried the kayak down to the launch, made sure I was settled and off I went. He also helped when I came back in. Nice place to launch as well. Can't wait to come back and explorer the other direction
Had a great time out on the water! The truck was easy to find and staff was great. They helped us launch and dock when we got back. We will definitely come back again!
Had a great time kayaking and will definitely be back. I made the reservation for 10am and for some reason thought it was for 11am. Called 5 minutes past 10 and they were SUPER accommodating and told me not to worry. They were ready for us when we got there and the guys that helped us were super nice.
Great day on the canal with Elevator Alley Kayaks! Jason was a great guide. They kakyas are awesome very stabel. They are even ready to rent right by the kayak launch so convenient. Highly recommend using this rental over any other in the area. The store front is located in the Barrell Factory. You can grab a bite to eat right there or my favorite is going to Gene McCarthy's. It is right at the end of the street.
We've taken a kayak tour from Elevator Alley and rented kayaks in the past and always had great service and a great time. This was no different! The kayaks are great and they always have them ready to go. The staff are always friendly and put safety first. We all love the convenience and highly recommend Elevator Alley. We'll be back for sure! Thank you!
This was a great experience. Having two hours to kayak was fantastic. One of us even swamped the kayak, but the friendly people of Buffalo once again showed their true colors. A family of four just happened to be passing in their boat, helped pull my son out and assisted in emptying the kayak of water before he got back in. Prayers were definitely heard and answered. Please send me a way to purchase an Elevator Alley t-shirt!
Very easy to book online. Staff is very helpful and friendly. They helped answer any questions we had. Getting the kayak into the water couldn’t have been easier. Staff at the launch helped fit you for a kayak and got you safely and comfortably into the water.they did all the hard work in loading the kayak onto the launch. No issues getting back to the launch and onto shore. Their store is also well stocked for kayaking accessories and they have lots of “buffalo-centric” apparel and gifts for visitors to buy. Highly recommend!
Always super friendly staff here. Great prices compared to other companies in the area. This is my go to place for renting kayaks downtown. Option to either kayak the scenic route towards South Buffalo or towards Canalside. Both routes are great, just depends on what you’re in the mood in that day. I will definitely be back, try it out, you’ll be glad you did
Our new favorite place to rent a kayak. The booking is super easy, the employees are wonderful and friendly, the kayaks and pfds are clean and comfortable and you cannot beat the price….for 2 hours!!! Two thumbs up!
This is the best place to get a kayak from in Buffalo. The launch point is effortless. It has a system where you sit in the kayak on rollers above the water and then you’re gently rolled into the water. What a difference from trying to step in or crawl out of a kayak that’s already in the water! Beyond that, the kayaks are in great condition and the staff is extremely helpful. Also, I find it very easy to park in a very walkable neighborhood to get there. You can stop for a beer at the barrel factor who were Gene McCarthy‘s afterwards.
