Building design is incredible. Loved the exhibits and how interactive they made it. They were preparing for a new exhibit so the there were only a few exhibits to see but it was really beautiful. Love how even the signs inside are slanted like the museum’s architecture. The exhibits were whimsical and thought provoking.
This was my first visit. I made reservations ahead of time on the website. I easily picked an opening slot at 10 a.m. using the interactive map I located metered parking across the street with ease. I used my e-ticket at the receptionist stand, and she was so nice and even checked my coat. Now it's your turn to experience this gem of a museum
Free to enter. Wonderful architectural and modern building, which unfortunately may be the mist impactful art of the museum. I do not think the exhibition is too artful, too influential, or too crafty. I anticipated higher standard for a Broad Museum. Staff are nice, but seem to be bore as not so many visitors. I am thinking a 3.5 star is more appropriate.
We love to visit this museum! The first Saturday of each month they have free admission for families for family day. They offer tons of activities for the kids to do and different games on each level. They switch out the areas very frequently. They staff are always welcoming and friendly. Especially the ones who run the small group activities for the kids. The coat check has always ran smoothly with no concerns or issues. They are wheelchair/stroller friendly. Huge elevators and nice staircases. The space is very clean and has tons to offer for the whole family to enjoy.
I came to visit this museum for the weekend after my birthday. It was very inspiring. The architectural design was merely mesmerizing. I hadn’t been in a more elegant structure. This place had various artworks from different timelines in life. The multitude of cultures and depictions were honestly aesthetically pleasing. It was warm there the art made me feel like it wasn’t a museum but more of a mausoleum of the walks in this artistic life. I think anyone could enjoy a visit here. There’s a children’s area, an activity , even a video. This is a wonderful pastime. Take it from me.
Lovely museum by an architecture great in one of the most unsuspecting places- Really amazed by Zaha's greatness. Her design finess shows in the most minute of details. From the staircase, to bench design, to angled mullions. The exhbition of Zaha's own work really work well in the space. The entire experience felt designed and curated from start to finish. Unfortuantely visited while the upper floor was closed for gallery updating, but apart from that, really enjoyed seeing this beauty in person.
Very disappointed with the "interactive" art room, seemed to be quite childish. Interact with what exactly? Then why was a worker following me and husband like we was gone take something. The building is beautiful on the outside, we walked out scratching our heads. You have to see the waste of money that they got going on in this building. I'm still confused. A few pictures enclosed in a plexiglass table, didn't find the art. My expectations was smashed like a dropped watermelon on a hot summer day.
They have a lot of interesting exhibits, will definitely visit here againWait time1 hr+Reservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entryFree
I enjoy the variety and rotation frequency of exhibits. It's a quiet and peaceful place to study.Wait timeNo wait
Free! Quality spot for the fam on a dreary Michigan Sunday. Great display of engaging art and awe....some structure! Building is a masterpiece from the first glimpse. Thank you for being a great free gallery.
