We have limited openings for Fall, 2017 in our 2-day morning and in our full-day programs, for children ages 2.9 to 5 years. Call Christine at 508-285-8220 or email [email protected] to learn more about our quality "hands-on" learning environment; promoting social and emotional development while fostering language and foundational learning skills, through quality play and experimenting with thoughtful teacher guidance.
Founded in 1931 by Elisabeth Amen, professor and chair of the Education and Psychology Department at Wheaton College (1926). Professor Amen's special interest in researching effective early childhood education took her through Great Britain in 1930, and led her back to Wheaton in 1931 to open one of the nation's first college-sponsored laboratory schools. Professor Amen's passion for quality early education is still embedded today in the meaningful "hands-on" experiential learning opportunities offered at the Amen preschool.
To provide a nurturing and cognitively stimulating environment in which children can explore and experiment - developing thought, language, self-esteem, confidence, and social learning skills necessary for successful foundational academic skills.
