Worst doctor's office I've ever been in. I had blood drawn the beginning of May. They told me I could check my results through the breeze app or portal and every time I check they tell me there are no lab results found. It is June 1st and there is still nothing. You can never talk to anybody in that office you always have to leave a message. The receptionist is a computer screen. The person that is in charge of making appointments and scheduling is hard to understand because their accent is very strong.
I have never had such an awful experience scheduling an appointment. There is not a person with a pulse who answers the phones at this practice. I have been trying for over 2 weeks to schedule an appointment. EVERYTHING apparently has to be done via portal. If you ever need to speak to someone, do not go to this practice. Loved Dr. Dowie but the practice is poorly run.
I had the pleasure of visiting Dr. Dowie's office recently and I can confidently say that it is one of the best medical experiences I have had. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by Kelly and Brittany who were incredibly warm and welcoming. Their attention to detail and care for their patients was evident throughout the entire visit. Dr. Dowie herself was just as wonderful. She took the time to listen to my concerns and address each one thoroughly. She was extremely knowledgeable and provided clear explanations for any questions I had. The office itself was extremely organized and well-maintained. It was clear that they put a lot of effort into ensuring that their patients have the best experience possible. Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Dowie's office. The team of Kelly, Brittany, and Dr. Dowie truly go above and beyond for their patients and provide top-notch care. They are truly the best in the business and I couldn't be more thankful to have my care in the hands of such amazing providers!
I even feel like I can't give 1 star. I have been trying for over a month to get a copy of my medical records and cannot get someone to call me back. Impossible to get a live person. I need a provider that can give me what I need within a reasonable amount of time. I would not recommend at all.
Poorly run practice. You're greeted by a person on a video monitor who takes payment remotely. They never answer the phone. Gave blood for basic labs and didn't hear back for weeks with one result being very abnormal and needing to be addressed. They want all communication to take place through an app. My wife went in for a preoperative physical and the surgeons office made multiple attempts to contact them and they wouldn't return calls or messages nor did they send the results. It was the day before the surgery when they finally sent the results. This practice is non-functional. Dr. Dowie is rude, but Kelly was great. After 18 years in the medical field, supervising two very well known urgent care facilities and knowing what the minimum standards of a practice and customer service should be, I can't return to this practice.
Not really sure where to start. Brought mom here to see this doctor a handful of years back the first visit I was somewhat impressed and then it went downhill. After that it to the point where you would never see the doctor. They’re very hard to get a hold of And they’re even harder to work with as far as the prescriptions go and getting them from the drugstore and now you go into the office and you talk to a machine so there’s a lot more to this doctor I’m not putting it all out there you go there and see for yourself if you care to, but I personally would never recommend this doctor to anybody not sure if people look at these reviews but if they do, I’ll be more than happy to go into greater detail with that individual
Disappointing and demeaning. Our only visit at the Elite Coastal Healthcare was a disaster unlike my visits at MD Now, where doctors show more compassion and interest. The treatment I received was awful. I was very weak, recovering from a sever allergic reaction and Covid. Kelly, Dr Dowie's NP, scolded me mistakingly on dangerous virus spreading, suggesting that I was endangering everyone's life in the clinic; the staff, the patients and especially her staff's newborn. "Had I not learned anything in the past two years?" I sure did! She handed me a useless mask, which I respectfully accepted. She realized after her humiliating lecture that I had gone through my quarantine days ago and was no longer contagious. She told me that, "anyway", Covid was just like "a mild cold". No apologies for her arrogant approach; she suggested to take Tums for an ongoing tension in my abdomen interferring with my breathing. She never offered to look at a rash covering half my body. We felt that she wanted to get rid of us, which she did. We left as fast as we could. I left a personal message to Dr. Dowie in the patient portal, and got no reply. Not only will we never go back, but I made a formal complaint to our insurance company. We will switch insurer.
Dr. Dowie, Kelly, and Brittany are all incredibly bright, thorough providers who legitimately care about their patients. Ignore the bad reviews. You will be in good hands here. By far the best family med office in the area. They will always ensure decisions they make are in your best interest and welcome patients to be involved in their own care, as it should be. If you’re searching for a new primary, look no further.
Reviews in general do not give the full picture but I wanted to write this review for anyone who is like me - this is what you really want to know. This wonderful practice is all inclusive - physical, pap, blood work all in house! This doctors office is in a SAFE area first off, as a bonus the area is NICE of course for anyone who knows prosperity farms. Pulling up I saw a pretty colored painted building, with greenery hanging down; I just knew this was the place for me. When I walked up to the board to find the office location I immediately noticed what looked like expensive/high end floors tile or stone idk. So I walk in and have an easy hassle free check in, with the same person who scheduled my appointment over the phone. He was live on a giant screen. I arrived a few minutes early and unlike other places i’ve been to waiting an hour my appointment was at 2:40 and I was called back at 2:42 which may be a rarity but I was thrilled. Marina was the woman I saw first as a new patient, she’s a student in her last year of schooling and I appreciated her comments and kind empathy when having to hear the good, bad, and ugly about my medical/family history, a simple “i’m sorry to hear that” with her genuineness went along way. I’m sure she had heard a lot of the same histories of other patients before my appointment at 2:40pm, but I was so blessed that she treated me like her first one that day. She was exactly the kind of person you would wanna talk to when having to give all that information. Then the ARNP which means the advanced registered nurse practitioner Kelly Spencer came in and I felt very comfortable answering her questions and my biggest rave about Kelly is that before she drew blood she checked both arms to see which vein was better! As someone who must be prayerful and dependent on the Lord because I get uneasy about needles, Kelly was wonderful to take extra care that it went smoothly. I’m ever so grateful for the word of mouth referral that I got from my friend Meghan to go here. I wanted to write this review to help someone who is trying to find GOOD medical help these days - I also met Dr Dowie and she was very pleasant! My 2 coworkers are already waiting in the wings to hear my review because they need a reliable place to go! If the schedule is far out, WAIT, trust me, it’ll be worth it. I will not be going anywhere else.
This office practices excellent up-to-date medicine! I would highly recommend this office to anyone looking for excellent care. This is a great team who works hard to treat their patients.
