Elizabeth Hale Knox has been a voice instructor for more than 20 years. Students of Ms. Knox have been accepted to top music schools, won compettions, earned scholarship money, successfully auditioned for renowned choirs and musicals, and have been awarded professional contracts.
Ms. Knox is also an accomplished performer. She has performed as a soloist with the Chattanooga Opera, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the Indianapolis Bach Festival, the Evansville Symphony Orchestra and the Lafayette Bach Chorale Singers. Locally, she has appeared with Chamber Opera of Chicago, Lincoln Opera, DuPage Opera Theatre, Tower Chorale, Northwest Symphony Orchestra, and most recently on the Sounds of the South Loop Recital Series. She has also appeared on PBS in the Emmy-nominated program, A Renaissance Christmas.
Ms. Knox has performed with the Blossom Music Festival and the Aspen Music Festival. She has served as a full-time member of the Chicago Lyric Opera Chorus, the Grant Park Symphony Chorus, and Music of the Baroque.
Ms. Knox received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in vocal performance from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. Ms. Knox is a member of the The American Guild of Musical Artists (AGMA).
Ms. Knox is a current member, and past board member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing.
