Elizabeth and her staff are AMAZING. She represented us in three different cases . Two of those cases were adoptions . I HIGHLY recommend Elizabeth for your family law needs . She kept in touch with us throughout the process, and communicated regularly. She was honest with us about the situation, throughout the process . Her fees are VERY reasonable. She and her staff are professional and respectful. I honestly don't know what we would have done without her !

For anyone who is looking for a custody attorney be forewarned! I hired Ms. Porter to represent me in a legal matter of custody . At the onset of retaining her services I was impressed and thought I chose well. I paid her the full amount in advance and was assured she would get to work immediately. Unfortunately, within the first week I realized I chose poorly. Let me Explain. SHE DOES NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS! You have to communicate with her by email! Even her assistant who does nothing but apologize on her behalf does the same! Any motions you have filed are done at the last minute with detrimental effects to you case. I had to stay on them DAILY to get anything done. I likened it to a parent staying after a child who has to be told repeatedly to clean thier room. She will not call you back! With the excuse she would have to bill you for it. Even after I told her assistant I did not mind. If you do retain her. GET ON THE PAYMENT PLAN! DO NOT PAY HER IN FULL. Otherwise she has no incentive to do her job. In court she sits there and lets people lie on stand without even challenging them, even with supporting evidence! And when she looses your case, instead of a phone call trying to explain what happened she sends you a EMAIL! As a parent to anyone out there who has choices on representation. Take your hard earned money and flush it down the toilet before you give it to this woman.

Had a negative experience. This is my final response to her after she informed me she would file a motion to withdraw from my divorce case. "Thank you. I feel that someone could have easily told me you were in trial or tied up with something else for the whole month of July so I don't feel like that is an excuse of no reply at all, and your assistant just kept telling me she will let me know what's going on."

When Elizabeth says she treats clients' problems like they are my own problems. I fight for my clients rights. I make sure each each and every one of my clients has the information he or she needs to make informed decisions. Elizabeth means what she says and says what she means, and you will find her best value in being your Lawyer is an easy answer. She knows the golden rule and thats to keep her clients information private which means she keeps your business confidential and can be trusted. You and I both know all too well its very hard to find a good caring lawyer that continues to be a lawyer to help you in front of the judge instead of judging your character and trying to become the judge which seems to be the case s lot of times. You know no lawyer should be judging you that takes on your case that your paying hard earned money for your lawyers services to make your case as easy as he or she can while helping your decision making to bring out that anticipating positive outcome you deserve. I spoke with three different members of her staff who were very confused and all told me different things. I never had the opportunity to meet with Mrs. Porter, but her staff appears to be very unorganized and unprofessional. I wasted several days in efforts trying to secure an appointment which was cancelled by one of her confused staff members. I would not recommend this experience to anyone.

I had a very negative expierence with this attorney and Requested my money back. I am a disabled military wife of an active duty soldier and , I hired her for a custody hearing for my 4 daughters and after basically saying look youve done nothing I want my money back and am Lodging a complaint with the Mississippi Bar she passed the blamed onto her assistant, and asked me for more time and more money. She wanted more money for a job she hadnt done and did everything she could to extend time. Then when I asked her assistant for my paperwork and court file she told me to stop harassing her assistant , blocked me from emailing the office and told me I could contact her only. Then when I told her I wasnt paying her anymore money because she had not done the job I hired her for , which was the custody representation for my 4 daughter, I wrote a demand for refund letter for the $3000 retainer and the amount for shipping and my replacement court custody file she said she had didnt have any longer not only that I had to send her a bill for the 2000 page court file. My advise if if you arent in the state to meet your attorney do not hire them. I am still waiting for my refund. I am just going to say I had a horribly negative experience and i felt strung along. each time I called she was out of the office, in court, on vacation,sick her kid was sick, she was going thru her own divorce, she had a personal day. I notified her I was a DISABLED MILITARY WIFE OF A SOLDIER WHO WAS ACTIVE DUTY AND GOING TO DEPLOY TO AFGHANISTAN and she was quick to take money money and I got NOOOOO representation. Then when I called and emailed to get services she said I was harassing her assistant , who she pushed me off on. I wouldnt even give this person a star.
