Elizabeth’s Bar & Restaurant in Bloomfield

Elizabeth's is a hidden gem. Half quality restaurant half frienfly neighborhood bar. The food here is outstanding everytime I have gone. Primarily an Italian restaurant with a few Southern Cajun/Creole dishes.I try something different every time. The shrimp appetizers are a favorite of mine, especially the Shrimp Lisboa. The Portugese salad is also a favorite. For my last experience I had the Cajun Alfredo with Chicken. A delicious though a it heavy. The seafood palliative, chicken parmasean, ravioli are all hits as well. Each table also receives a basket of warm rolls and butter.

Had a business dinner here; my 1st time. I had the house paella, my other two guests had the salmon and pasta dish. All 3 dishes were very very good. Our young server did a good job too. I would visit again when in this area.

The flavors were okay in their pasta dishes, too much sauce in a lot of the dishes. My mussels were fresh but lacked flavor. My daughter thought they were good. Rather boring menu. The food was just okay nothing spectacular. The waitress when I asked her about a certain dressing if it was creamy or not she had answered no it wasn't and then when I got it dumped on my salad it was creamy. They need to know lots of specifics when they're serving customers not just guessingFood: 3/5

Their food and service are solid 5, except for pizza it’s maybe 2. Large portions, very delicious if in a mood for good old fashioned Italian dishes.

I went for lunch with a business associate. The staff was nice. The food was OK. I rarely get the opportunity for fish and chips and when it's on the menu I often like to try it. That was a mistake. It felt like it was from the freezer and had a smell to it. We ordered the calamari and it was decent but mostly the fried parts. My colleague had a pasta dish that looked pretty good. I hope I just ordered wrong but I'd remove this from the menu. I am not sure the last time I had fishy fried fish. The fries were quite good which was a bonus. The pricing was affordable so there's that also.

They serve Portuguese and Italian food. Out waitress Nikki was attentive and charming. The atmosphere was relaxed. The bar area was of good size and had televisions. This place is exactly what the town of Bloomfield needed.

Ordered the fish and chips on line. I've ordered it in the restaurant several times and it was delicious. The fish was lightly breaded and there were 2 large filets. Tonight, there were three small portions that looked like fish sticks. They were thickly breaded with a tiny portion of fish inside. Maybe 3 oz in total. Certainly not worth $16. VERY disappointed.
