I'm super disappointed in the cake I ordered for my husband birthday on Friday. My kids wanted to surprise there Dad with a Delicious cake but i went to the wrong place for it. I have tasted all of there bread and cakes they already have made on the counter and so far everything was good but now that we ordered him a special cake to be freshly made it tasted like they had this cake there for 2 weeks or so. His birthday surprise was ruined!!! It was so hard to even cut his cake. The white bread was super dry and didn't taste good at all. The only good thing about this whole cake where the strawberries that came inside, thats pretty much it. We all cut a piece but didn't even eat it at all, we still left half of it which went to the trash the next day. NEVER AGAIN WILL I ORDER A CAKE FROM THEM! Do I recommend you putting an order in for a cake? NO!! but everything else they have there like sweet bread, chocoflan and bolillos are good. It was a total loss of my money here. I noticed that the owner of this bakery never replies or take any action to get any issue resolved so that's why there cakes are just getting worse and worse every time.
Good Brett, But after seeing this, I'll be going somewhere else.
Love getting Mexican bread from here it's always fresh and it last longer it doesn't get stealth like other bakery especially the Bolillo it hits the spot with a cup of coffee or Hot cup of chocolate
Updated review after getting home. A woman who was helping me walked away with my partial order. To only walk on the other side to assist someone. I'm looking at her calling her to only be ignored and then laughing. I'm white so my Spanish is limited and for the first time ever after coming here for many years I can say today marks significantly a last day for me. I will not longer do business here only until I get a call back for the disrespect as a customer here and on the phone after trying to get my order solved.. Once realized my order was incomplete, I phoned Elizabeth's Bakery to let them know and I got hung up from an employee named Maria who refused to give her last name. After seeking help. The woman were laughing in the back ground and I was shocked at there behavior and I told her ultimately whats the point in giving my number when I know they would not pass it to a manager or owner. I'm shocked that this business allows there employees to discriminate against those who do not speak Spanish and the woman just laughed on phone at This morning everyone decided to avoid the enforced social distancing rules. I took photos also I was not a happy camper, But when we say anything these days it seems to start up a big disagreement among folks and escalates to physical confrontation. I'm dissatisfied due to the posted sign outside in big bold letters that read "take out" call ahead in which I have never been able to do at all when I call to order they say just come stand in line ! I ask for sign to be removed. Ebt accepted here Cash excepted here Major credit cards a fee is added. Now let's talk about there bakery why I truly come here. Boillios are baked fresh daily!!!! who does not love bread even me a type 1 its rare to indulge but every pastry, bread, tamales , all food entity here is beyond the best. I have been coming here since I was 15 I'm 48 now. Parking is most definitely tight here. There us parking in the side of Elizabeth's Bakery as well but the employees mostly park there. Hours I know they open at 5 or 530 daily closing time I'm unsure but will post an update.
Their bolillos are probably the only reason that flocks people in. Also, I bought a few pieces of pan dulce, and on my way home, I broke a piece off of one, and It was crumy. Obviously, it wasn't de el dia. It was my first time there, and although it was a big bakery, I wasn't impressed. Lot's of cakes, and they looked like they were sitting there for more than a day or two or three, lol! There is a fake huge cake sitting there on the counter as an example of their skills like it is supposed to wow the customers, smh but it is so old and outdated. Even the cake toppers are so outdated. The ladies that work there can a bit nicer all run into each other while serving customers handing out the pan dulce like in a carniceria. Lol
Their conchas used to be so delicious and fluffy/soft. It would stay soft for days. I guess they changed their recipe because it’s not the same anymore. It’s just an average concha that gets stale the next day. I haven’t found any other bakery that makes them the way they used to.
There's nothing I can say that hasn't already been said about this great bakery. Bolillos are very good here, not to mention the great options from cakes to bread.
Best bolios ever! They're so soft , don't turn brick hard and have a taste of almond
The Best Bolio in Town!! This bakery has a large selection of Mexican sweet bread , pastries and Cakes
Love love the bread but the lady’s that work their are very rude!
