Really cute little place away from the busy main streets. The mix of Asian and French was so unique and delicious. Their coffees were legit and everything we ate was so yummy. I loved the rice rolls and the steak and eggs. They had really good macaroons too!Food: 5/5
Very cute French/ Vietnamese Cafe. I ordered a shrimp sandwich with vegetables, dairy-free cold Vietnamese coffee and a macron not pictured. The sandwich was fresh and delicious. The macaron was okay and the coffee was delicious. This place is located in south Austin and worth the drive.
Perfect Sunday Brunch! Prepare to go from coffee to cocktails. Order a bunch of dishes to share! We had Breakfast Singapore Noodles, Pork & Shrimp Crepe and Shaking Steak and Eggs Sunny Side Up.Food: 5/5
Such a cute place with yummy food. Tried it for the first time for a quick lunch but was back here with family the next week. That say’s a lot about the food :. Loved all we have tried so far - noodles, banh mi, spring rolls, fried rice. Casual and comfortable vibes to enjoy some great flavors.
The food was great. The entire family was very happy with the food they ordered. Service was fantastic. The only thing I don't like is the lack of parking space
Really enjoyed the vibe and ambience of this place. It's a cute cafe with beautiful wallpapers and decor. We got the hibiscus cocktail, crunchy chicken rolls, pork belly bun and Dan dan noodles. The drink was average, pork belly was decent but the crunch chicken rice paper rolls were really good. They were fresh and loved the sauces that came with it. The dan dan noodles were definitely not dan dan. This came with some curry flavored broth, it felt more like ramen. Nevertheless we enjoyed it
The pho ga is wonderful and nuanced it is also massive and great for multiple meals or sharing. The blueberry green tea is aromatic and a perfect complement. Everything here is thoughtful and tasteful. With a hint of fun. This spot has been here at least 11 years- but the last time I was here it was a coffeehouse I used to love. I may or may not have avoided this spot out of bias. That shows me to cut off my nose to spite my face. This is absolutely hipster-fied noodles. But they are good noodles. I love fun atmospheres and presentation but function has to hit first. And the food absolutely hits. Great chill staff - my waitress, Danielle, had the best vibe about her. Positive. Capable. Knowledge. Caring. That with the soup made me feel a real wonderfully cared for vibe. Wonderful spot. Vegetarian options: Some options in each category Dietary restrictions: They were super accommodating for my keto needs. Parking: They have a tiny free lot and a larger paid lot next door. Kid-friendliness: Not really a kid spot. Wheelchair accessibility: Not super accommodating but doable.
We found this place by chance and it is now one of my #1 favorites in Austin! It's easy to find and they have parking in front and off street. We came on a Sunday with no reservations but had no problem getting a seat. It's pretty hot these days and really wasn't sure about sitting outside, but they have misters and fans and now without question, I would always sit outside. Very quaint place with a very nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The menu is a bit overwhelming in that everything sounded amazing and we wanted to try so much. We started off with a butter croissant and simply amazing! Very fresh and clearly they make these themselves. We arrived afternoon so all the chocolate croissants were gone but will have to go back and try those. Freshly baked goods are hard to pass up. For an appetizer, we had the Spring Rolls; I had mine with the Marinated Grilled Tofu and my friend had hers with Shrimp. Amazing spring rolls! They were so fresh and delicious. The peanut sauce wasn't quite what I've been used to at Thai restaurants; I don't know if the peanut sauce is different at a Vietnamese restaurant but it was a little bland. But by all means, make sure to have an order of the Spring Rolls. They are epic! For my meal, I had Red Curry Dan Dan Noodles with Chicken, Bok Choy, Sprouts and Thai Basal. First, come hungry because it's a huge bowl. And I hope you like spicy! Not burning your mouth spicy but definitely has some spice to it. What can I say but if I had to come up with my top ten dishes of any food or cuisine, this dish would be on that list providing it comes from Elizabeth Street Café. The broth was amazing and the ingredients were the freshest ever! From the first bite, I was amazed at just how delicious this mixture of ingredients would be. If you want authentic Vietnamese food, I know of no better place to recommend. If you are tired of the same old food and want something fresh and delicious, you won't regret coming here! We came without reservations but I imagine they are typically busy so I would check before coming. We can't wait to come back and try other items on their menu. We live out west in Spicewood and as that area develops, we hope Elizabeth Street will consider a new location out near us!
Everything we had here was delicious, but I wouldn't call this place a Vietnamese restaurant, its more of a fusion. The banh mi is just a sandwich labeled as a banh mi, but it was a delicious sandwich. We also had the shrimp steamed rice rolls, which ended up being my favorite dish. The sauce was the perfect balance of flavors, and the crispy puffed rice added a nice texture.
Elizabeth Street Café is Vietnamese and French. It is a charming and delicious spot, I can’t recommend them enough. It is small with a vibrant environment. The staff are friendly and attentive. Must-haves include: • Da Nang Margarita • 10B Spring Roll — Poached Shrimp, Avocado, Cilantro, Bean Sprouts, Jalapeño, Lime Zest • Broiled Escargots • Crab Noodles • Nutella Eclair
