Never had the refrigerator fixed by Sears Worst service in the world 7 weeks with out a refer Never got repair part Called 15 times got the same answerer. They have no answer Never got call back as promised. Had to call them evertime!! Never had a bigger run around in my life They need to remove service from their name!
I was impressed with the service provided by Sears technician, Rich, Tech ID 100182, District 8409. He called to tell me he was on his way to my home. He did a maintenance check on my refrigerator. Over time, the refrigerator had lost its "level" stance and the door would not stay open when I transferred food in and out. It took some ingenuity on his part, but he was able to level it. Then he asked me if there was any other appliance in the house that needed attention. I told him that the water pressure in my washing machine was reduced on the "hot" and "cold" settings, and I suspected that the filters were starting to clog. I paid the fee Sears charges for additional service and he worked on the machine. The filters were beginning to clog. He cleaned them and the pressure improved. He told me about Sears Home Warranty Program. He was helpful, friendly, and professional, all of the qualities I appreciate in a service provider. I hope that Sears recognizes and rewards his expertise and quality of service he provides to Sears customers.
The tech was excellent however he was, in my opinion, hampered by micromanagement. I had two service calls scheduled for the same day on two different appliances a gas range and a Bosch dishwasher. The tech is qualified to service both ... but he was not assigned to do both repairs at the same time. He completed the call on the range and left. Several hours later he called back to tell me he was assigned to do the dishwasher too. In my opinion this is a very stupid and inefficient way to handle service and manage people. If I were treated this way I'd be looking for a new job that respected and valued me as an employee.
The repair service for my washing machine was excellent! Butch was professional, kind, and efficient! He quickly found the problem and fixed it during a holiday week! We highly recommended Sears Home Repair service. Thank you.
I am not happy with the service. This is the second time that they have been back to fix the same problem. Kept getting an F6 error message. 1st time they told me that it was a clogged strainer in the pump, cleaned it out and charged me $100. Told me that it could be the pump itself, so that if it came back, to change out the pump. F6 came back 4 weeks later, so I bought a new pump and installed it. 2 months later, the F6 code returned. Called them back. They told me that it past the 90 days, so no warranty. They came back and told me that the door latch has too much plastic on it, preventing the door contact to register. Used a utility knife to cut the excess plastic and charged me $150. I am now $400 into this Kenmore washer that, if the service guy is right, should have been a warranty repair from the start!!!
This is the 2nd time having Sears repair come out. First time was our dishwasher. The service tech was just professional and did a great job. Little pricey $191, but works great. Second time our front load washer had a error code and we couldn't get the code to clear. A different tech came out this time. He told me that I had to get the clothes out of the washer. I told him the door was locked. He went over and pushed a lock button then the door opened. I took the clothes out and her started the machine on a rinse cycle then watched it. Then he asked me if I had a Corvette in the garage. NO, why? I just looked like someone that would. Then after the cycle finished he said that's should do it. $145 to push a button !!!!! REALLY? And was uneasy with this tech thinking he was casing my home. I would still call Sears for service.
Quick and very personal repair person. I will always use you but you need to hire more people because your length of time to get a service call and then the repair unless it can be fixed that day is way too long and this is not the service men/womens fault it is Sears for not doing the hiring when people leave or are let go.
The repairman was very concerned with my washer which he could not fix due to outdated parts. Sears will still be my number 1 repair people to call. I have a new washer on the way!
The technician looked professional and courteous tended to his work. Was unable to give an estimate ahead of time. I paid $252 after 20% coupon for replacement of two parts for a 5 year old Kenmore washer. One was a rebuilt part. He said it was working properly and left. As I had already been to the laundry mat, it was a few days before I needed to use the washer. When I did TRY to use the washer it stuck in sensing mode and made a loud humming. THAT IS WHY I CALLED FOR A SEARS REPAIRMAN IN THE FIRST PLACE. I called it in and a courteous operator lined up an opportunity for a Sears repairman to try to ACTUALLY fix it.
