The staff are great! Dr Houchen was amazingly patient with my wiggly 5 year old. I counted at LEAST 15 degrees on his wall in the waiting area. I’m sorry to the whiners but when you’ve reached that level of expert, you can treat me any way you want, as long as you’re treating the issue we came for. Personally, I thought he was great. We will definitely be back.
Worst experience! They called me to pick up my glasses and no one was there. Had to go back the next day. They did no fittings and no followup l wasted over $500 on glasses I cannot wear. They told me to wear them for 2 weeks. I can't wear them for 10 minutes. I will never go back.
Absolutely miserable experience, I knew I wasn’t going back when I went out to get a box of contacts from my truck for the doctor. After using 6 hours of annual leave to come into town before the office closed on two separate occasions because I was informed that my contacts were in and still not being able to pick them up confirms what other reviews I’ve read I wish I had read them prior, to others that share my experiences, at least it doesn’t take long to learn, right! I feel your pain! Once if ever I do get my contacts I will put this office gladly behind me.
This place is ridiculous! I went there for years with not much problems until now. I went in at the beginning of March this year. I had a full exam done and was told i had to wait for my trial contacts before I could get my prescription and order at Walmart where I normally get my contacts. So I was told in March my trials were ordered. I called multiple times and they said they had an issue with where they got tge contacts from and it wasnt their fault and they didnt know what to tell me. Then in April I called and they said there was issues with the ONE person who know how to order contacts and it wasn't their fault that mine were not ordered. So they had to call an old employee to get them ordered and mine would then get ordered. So then again after calling in May they told me again there was another reason mine still didn't get ordered and again its not their fault and they were ordered in May. They still refused to just give me the prescription for my contacts so I could go else where. At this point they were RUDE beyond compare and even today I left in tears frustrated because they finally gave me my RX but it was the wrong prescription and told me again my trials didn't get ordered until this previous Monday, memorial day. Makes sense... they are the WORST place to go and i am never going back! If I could give 0 stars I would.
I have had nothing but great care with this Doctor and staff.
I'd leave 0 stars if I could. Place is a mess hasn't been cleaned in 15years. Took over 2weeks to get my prescription from them. Then I got the wrong one when I did. The doc isn't here to fix it...lives in Vegas I have to go to another business to get contacts in a timely manner.
I brought my daughter there when she was 18 months old! They where amazing with her & she did great. Doctor was great with her & we got her glasses. I was also able to purchase frames from somewhere else, they didn’t have very small frames at the time, and we put her script in those! She’s been wearing them since! Can’t wait to take her back! Friendly staff & the doctor is great with kids
The people are ok the doctor knews a lot. But do not buy contacts from this place. They only have one person ordering contacts. She took a three week vacation and did not order my contacts. I called three times during this period and got no information about my contacts. Then got a call the next day saying that they had not order them because they forgot to get a measurement of my eye while I was in my appointment. They come in and no one called me for 24 hours when I called them and asked if they were in. When I went to pick them up they where still not ready for me. I had to wait as they enter into the computer information that should have been done the hour that it took me to get in. They told me 60 contacts came in at the time mine did and they had called no one to inform them their contacts where in. Every time I called to asked them if my contacts where in they assured me they would call. They lie to me multiple times. Just go somewhere else. Pay the extra you will be happier. Right now my vision is mess up because of their lack of concern for me and my vision problems. They just want money.
Wouldn't release script for contacts. Gave different brands. No idea what they are doing. Unprofessional. They place blame on the customer/patient instead of taking responsibility for their actions. Read the reviews it's crystal clear. You can find better for your eyes.
I had the doctor do my eye surgery. I was terrified but the staff made me feel very comfortable and I am very happy with the results. I especially loved that I could have everything done right here in Elko. Sure beats traveling 3-4 hours after surgery. I was able to go right home and right to sleep.
