Great lodge and people! Huge facilities with an Olympic size pool, bowling alley, weight room basketball court and more!
Always a great time visiting with people who quickly become friends. We signed up to become members the first night we visited. Very welcoming to everyone and the Sunday NFL Ticket in the card room has been so much fun this season. Can’t wait for Super Bowl Sunday!
Chef Joaquin has some amazing food and the drinks are spot on. The live bad tonight has a great set and sounds wonderful. Fridays at the lodge are becoming my fav.
The food was good and so was the music, but the bartender made my experience awful. I went to the Elks for my first time with a few members and was dragged away from my friends into another room and made to feel awful for not having a membership. Do not go to this place if you don’t aren’t a member They obviously don’t want you around
Quite thoroughly surprised when we showed up to the location for an event that was being held, the pirates ball of Portland. Noted from the description it was one of the largest in the country and was not disappointed. Plenty of facility space, I'll be at their choice of setup for the event left something to be desired. Nothing against the lodge on that, it is huge! Following through with the signage to go from section to section of the event we noticed many of the amenities including the pool showers sona, as well as many small spaces for individual events rooms and other potential meeting areas. Definitely an excellent space to rent for large events in the future, I'll be at I would confine it to the upper floor. That being said the fact that they had an elevator to access the 2nd floor 3rd floor and other areas within was very helpful especially with peoples that have limitations, in this case drunken pirates using an elevator versus the stairs was ideal.
I am not sure how they handle Elks business, but their Swashbucklers Ball business was on point. It didn't feel like it was a cash grab, didn't feel like they didn't care about the venue, it was lit and if you have an event you want hosted by them, hit them up.
I came as a guest of this lovely members -only lodge. The re-done dining room and bar is pretty and cozy and the drinks were great! The service staff were super friendly.
Pretty cool place. You can tell it's pretty old. But very nice people.
I just love the folks at this lodge! Today the lodge hosted a traditional jazz orchestra and dance. WOW what a blast. Had a nice lunch menu. A group of dancers led by local dance legend Brenda Russell did a dance performance during intermission. They are in the picture. I did a short amateur video also so leave comment tagging me if you want the video.
