DO NOT BE FOOLED BY POSITIVE REVIEWS! They are absolutely FAKE! This facility is a complete dumpster fire cesspool of a facility full of ignorant unfriendly staff who routinely ignore and mistreat patients. The hallways stink of urine and feces. Oftentimes the poor patients stuck in this hell hole are left without food, water, or diaper changes for many, many hours. I cannot understand how this facility has not been shut down or forced to close from multiple lawsuits.
My mom was here for almost 2 weeks. She was not feed or giving anything to drink which cause significant weight loss. On my first visit I found her on the floor naked, beside her bed mom is unable to walk or stand. I called for nurse for assistance, they came put her in the bed and never checked to make sure she was not injured. Complaints was made and nothing was done. A few days later my sister went to to visit and found chunks of food stuffed in my moms mouth, also a bruise on her head from the previous fall. More complaints nothing was done. Three days later my mom was dead. Do not send your love ones here. Staff is very nonchalant, rude and their English is very bad. I am still waiting for my complaint to be answered. If you truly care about you love ones Do Not Send them here! I would add the photos to show the neglect but they are heart breaking.
ALERT ATTENTION DO NOT LET YOUR LOVE ONE COMES TO THIS PLACE FOR ANYTHING MY MAMA WAS IN A COMA ON LIFE SUPPORT BC OF THIS PLEASE MY MAMA TOLD ME IT BURNS WHEN SHE GO PEE SHE WENT TO THE HOSPITAL AND SHE HAD ONE OF THE WORST UTI WENT TO HER BLOOD LINE NOW SHE HAS SO MUCH WRONG WITH HER SHE WILL NOT TALK OR EATING WAS UNRESPONSIVE WHEN SHE GOT TO THE HOSPITAL ON JULY 28 OF THIS YEAR SHE IS NOT GOING BACK BC THE NURSES AND DOCTORS DONT CARE ALL THEY WANT IS THE PAYCHECKS GET PAYED SHE IS NOT DOING GOOD DO NOT TRUST THIS PLEASE I DONT WHAT THIS TO HAPPEN TO MORE WOMEN THE CALL BELLS DONT WORK THEY MAKE PATIENTS & FAMILYS SUFFERING TEY USE LITTLE WATER TO WASH THERE BODYS THEY LEAVE THE PATIENTS IN THE DIAPERS FOR HRS THATS HOW UTI STARTED OUT WATCH OUT FOR THEM THEM THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THE PATIENTS THEY JUST WENT THE MONEY TO PAY THERE BILLS WHEN YOU ASK THE DSS THERE QUESTIONS THEY DO NOT GET BACK TO YOU AT ALL SHE HAD PUSS AND PEE COMEING OUT FROM THE UTI JULY 28- 2023 SHE WAS RUSHED TO THE HOSPITAL AND SHE PASSED AWAY NOW BC OF THIS PLACE IS DANGEROUS
Ellicott City Health and Rehab has a great team that truly cares about their patients. Their admissions director, Chris, is very helpful and is able to answer any questions you may have. The social work team, Chantell and Gina, work very hard to ensure that their patients have a smooth transition to home and are knowledge about resources in the community to help assist patients and families. I highly recommend this center to anyone looking to have their loved one admitted for short-term rehab or long-term care.

Do not send your loved one here! They are understaffed and overworked. They do not take good care of the patients and do not have good attitudes. It smells like urine once you pass the double doors. They did not changed my moms bandages causing her chest to become severely infected. You can hear other patients yelling for help from there rooms. Just don't do it!
This is a great facility with very high standards and quality of care. From personal experience, I would highly recommend the Ellicot City team! Finding the perfect place for my great aunt to receive treatment was very important to our family. We have had some negative experiences in the past and knew what to look for. The team here is great; they are kind and welcoming. The staff is very knowledgable and always willing to listen. Specifically, a major shout out to Mr. Chris Garvey, who spent the needed time with us to answer all of our questions and concerns. His experience shows through in his answers and the fact that he anticipates your questions and concerns before you even know you have them. Everyone at this facility needs a raise. Thank you all!
My dad was transferred here for rehab. He fell the same night he was transferred and his room mate kept calling the nurse station and no answer. So he called 911 from the room. Which I'm very thankful for. I was not notified from the facility at all that he had fell or taken to the hospital. I called the next day and spoke with someone 7 hours after I was notified from the hospital that he was in there and the person in charge said that she was sorry but she was planning on calling me. This is not acceptable in any way. His belongings including his glasses were left behind, which he's legally blind and he needs. I live 1 1/2 hours away and called before I came today to get his belongings and was told I needed to come back tomorrow. I said no. The supervisor on duty then got really rude and started talking over me. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE!! Tho hospital even told me not to let my dad come back here when he was released.
ECHR has amazing team members who care about their patients. The social workers go above and beyond to make sure everyone has what they need!
They deserve no stars. They killed my elderly father at this nursing home. I've seen patients come and die here before my dad. Most of the staff were horrible. They have a big turnover there, meaning they can't keep staff. The female director there was ignorant as well as the male social worker who stated he doesn't help the family members concerns, just the patients! What! Rooms are dirty at times, staff are on personal cell phones, lots of staff you can't understand what they are saying because of their broken English. It's just a horrible place. Don't put your loved one here. Don't do it.
