It was technically after hours but my 13 lb Chiweenie thinks he’s Cujo. He enjoyed the alone, off leash time. Well maintained and fenced in excellent condition, thus allowed me to sit back and relax.
We were there on a July weekday in the late morning. Parking was plentiful. There are two parts to the dog park, a small dog portion and a larger dog portion. We have a mini Australian shepherd and chose the large dog portion. There was already a lab there, and our dog was happy to play with him. There's plenty of room to run and there are benches for people to sit under a shade tree. We and our dog had a good time. We've been before and we'll be back.
Cool dog park part of a larger park. The ground was wood chips which was different in a good way. Our dog had a great time and it was nice to sit and relax. Dog-friendliness: Dog park standard and little dog sides
I'm not a big fan of Elm Street dog park, but I drop by occasionally. Poo bags and water are available. You can park on Elm Street or in the parking lot off Ash Street. There's a section for big dogs and a smaller section for little dogs, and both have double gate entrances and benches. It's my experience that the people in the small dog section go a little bananas when there's the slightest scuffle. I don't mean aggression, just a normal sorting out of who's who among the dogs. If your little dog is 100% passive, you will be welcomed. We use the big dog section if there are only a few dogs present, so she can run and play more rambunctiously. If the big dogs ovewhelm her, we leave. This dog park isn't the best fit for my dog but I support it wholeheartedly. There are so few places we can take our pups off leash, and Elm Street dog park might be perfect for you and your dog.
It's fantastic that they have separate dog parks for both big dogs and small dogs. Although, I have found that owners with larger dogs don't always stay in the big dog park for some reason, it's still a great setup.
Sweet little dog park. They have a side for large dogs and small. Love that the park has toys and poop bags! Open until dusk.
Best dog park! The small dog park has grass for the wee ones and tons of fresh water with lots of room to run. Very clean! The big dog park is very nice to very clean with wood chips and plenty of fresh water and room to run. Very friendly dogs and had so much fun meeting new people. Plenty of parking and lots of handicapped parking. The adjoining park is beautiful also and everything is very well kept up. Definitely my favorite dog park for both small and large dogs. I was also impressed by how clean the entire park is and the restrooms are clean and well stocked.
Clean, well kept dog park. Large fenced area for big dogs and small fenced area for small dogs. Grass and shade trees with plenty of benches to rest. Lots of water bowls and an area for dog toys. Playground is nearby so kids can also play while your doggies do
We take our Dog to the Elm Street Dog park at least 3 times a week. There is a section for the little dogs and larger dogs. All owners care for their own dogs and everyone is friendly. There is water for the dogs and seating for people if they want. Poopoo bags are on site too and its a very clean dog park
This is a nice big park. It has separate big dog and small dog areas. Also has some nice benches and plenty of balls around and a water fountain. It is very clean i.e. no dog which is rare. The only draw back is that the big dog area is covered in wood chips and my dog doesn't really like to run in it.
