Good airport- easy in- easy out. Security is fast. Free WiFi. The airport is freshly renovated and has even an outdoor courtyard for peace and enjoyment. There is also tons of seating near the gates. I hope more airlines add service.
Pretty good little airport. Was very surprised they had lots of car rental options. Small, clean airport but don’t expect anything more than gates and a bodega. Security took forever to scan people’s bags there was a line of around 20 ppl waiting for bags to come through the scanner. A lot of leisure travelers through this airport so not quite as efficient as some larger airports.
I find the gate agents to be consistently rude, it’s been months/years this has been happening . Yelling over the loudspeaker for people to move out of the way, snarky. People’s were talking about it onboard. And why require luggage to be put in a bin and get tagged before getting on the flight- NO other airlines/airport does this. Allegiant has not required it at ANY of their other airports. I was told they get fined if they didn’t do it- really doubt this is true. It’s a shame you leave the airport experiencing such rudeness by the employees.
I wish I could leave this airport a NEGATIVE REVIEW! Tammy refused to give me her last name @ Alegiant ticketing was the most rude human I have ever met. I wish I was exaggerating. Did not answer any of our questions and we had to leave our 16 pound puppy behind because of her. I hope Alegiant has some better employee training… I will be not be traveling Alegiant anymore..
The Hertz rental counter people were just great. So friendly and helpful. The terminal is clean and very well laid out.
While I’m not a regular flier out of ELM, whenever I’ve used the airport typically for Allegient Air, I’ve always found the customer service and attending staff to be extremely helpful, accommodating and friendly. I’ve even stopped by to talk to Delta Airlines representatives about latest boarding protocol for international flights, and they’ve gone out of their way to make time and field inquiries. I used this airport quite a bit years ago, as Detroit was a major hub for overseas trips, but since moving from the area, it’s the perfect spot for home visits or direct flights to Florida. The old decor of the airport was antiquated but charming in its own way. The new modifications and updated furnishings certainly raise the bar and the airport now feels more modernized without becoming too sterile or faceless. I’ve never had an issue with baggage or TSA. To those who complain about the alleged inefficiency of ELM’s TSA, I’d encourage them to travel out of JFK/NYC and/or LAX/LA to realize how painstakingly patient one must be when surrounded by thousands of sleepy and oftentimes ornery fellow passengers. I wish ELM all the very best and am thankful for their excellent contributions, making for a satisfying flying experience.
Easy to park, walked right in, checked our bags, quickly shuffled through new security experience with full on CT scan style inspection machines to look through our baggage. Quick and easy, highly recommend. Photo: Gate 3
Nice, clean airport. My only complaint is that my flight was delayed and the option to visit their onsite bar wasn't an option I was willing to address. The bar is located outside the secure area and I wasn't willing to go through that hassle again.
Completely unacceptable baggage handling. When baggage takes 45 minutes to get to you after you arriving on a 45 minute flight, that is a serious delay. Furthermore, no information or announcement provided on baggage delay. Every time I travel via Elmira, my bag ends up being destroyed or seriously delayed.
Very clean and modern airport. Due to size, it was very easy to navigate with ample space.
