Elms College is a four-year coeducational Catholic liberal arts college.
The Sisters of St. Joseph helped to found the College of Our Lady of the Elms as a school to train young women to teach in Massachusetts schools. Their mission, however, went far beyond preparing the next generation of teachers.
The Sisters of St. Joseph worked to better the entire community, and ensured that the college would be a place where women who otherwise could not afford an education could prepare themselves for a career.
Today, Elms College continues in that tradition, integrating service to others and a foundation in the liberal arts with career preparation for both men and women.
We educate creative, principled, and reflective learners -- they do the rest.
