I happen to love this hardware store. The order is so friendly and so willing to help. There's been more than one occasion where he has not had the item in stock and he went in the internet and found it at another store or he had the item in stock but he told me where I could find it cheaper. You really don't find that many people who who will go out of their way to help you. A real old-fashioned sawdust on the floor hardware store that you really don't see anymore with a customer service that is above and beyond any place like home Depot or Lowe's

Adequate little neighborhood hardware store. Contrary to other reviews, I have not found it overpriced--sure, it might be a touch more than a big box store, but it's quicker in and out. It's small, though. If you want supplies or tools that are common, and don't care much about selection, this is a good place to go.

Found out about this place via Google. Wanted to patronize a local hardware store near where I live instead of going to the usual bigbox retailers. I went to Elmsford Hardware for the first time this past Saturday afternoon and the store was actually closed. So much for convenience. The proprietor should either make the effort to post their hours on their Google page or invest in a website.

Recently visited this establishment and none of the workers or the owner wore a mask! They do not take this public health crisis seriously and are putting all the customers at risk. If you do choose to shop here, then please tell them to wear a mask or take some sort of precautionary measure to help slow the spread. They refused to put one on when asked. Do not tolerate this ignorance and choose to shop elsewhere if you can.

First & last time shopping at this hardware store. $30 for True Value Fast Melt Ice Melter, 50-Lbs is unacceptable. Price gouging at its worse only accepting cash as payment.

I have worked at Elmsford Hardware part-time since 2010. As a result, I can respond to the two reviews as of 11/26/14: This is NOT a True Value Hardware store, which means that True Value ice melt is not sold. Even last winter with the shortage of salt and calcium, the sales prices were never increased when Elmsford Hardware was the only local store to have it in stock. As far as a key not working, ALL KEYS ARE GUARANTEED TO WORK or another will be re-cut at no cost or money will be REFUNDED, whatever is requested by the customer.

Very good experience always friendly and my Motorcycle key always works after they cut it.
