The Elsa Volunteer Fire Department proudly protects 5,660 residents living in a 1.5 square mile area. Elsa, Texas is located in Hidalgo County and is part of the McAllen-Edinburg-Mission Metropolitan area. We operate out of one station and are staffed by a dedicated group of 30 volunteers.
It is the mission of the Elsa Volunteer Fire Department to protect and preserve the lives, property, and the environment in the City of Elsa and surrounding areas, while ensuring the safety and survival of its firefighters, through continual training, public education, and fire prevention programs.
