Elsie's Place Restaurant & PUB

About

Serving delicious home-cooked food that is reasonably priced & served in a casual dining room. Live entertainment most weekends. Happy hour, too!

Description

The Restaurant is named for Elsie the Cow, the mascot for Borden Milk products. The Borden family created the infrastructure for the Hamlet of Wallkill and even had their "home farm" here. The name, "Elsie's Place" seemed a pleasant fit for the location of the restaurant and the town's heritage. Stop in for lunch, hop in for happy hour, or drop in for dinner Take out or Delivery.

One of the joys of traveling around the country is finding a place like this. If you love food or simply the hospitality industry, you need to visit here. The food was fantastic. This is good old fashioned hospitality. One of the highlights of our adventure so far.
Had a great time with my dad, we had some nice drinks, atmosphere was welcoming, and the food was to die for, especially the french fries. The waiter was also very nice to us, this is definitely underrated! We will come again!
Elsies has delicious food! The Cobb salad was an all inclusive trip to yumsville. And I’ve never tasted such a delicious pesto chicken sandwich. I’ve never had such an attentive waitress. She brought me my own glass, with lemon, after I took a sip of my husbands. Coming back for sure!
Twenty-two people from my MeetUp group shared a wonderful lunchtime together at Elsie's Place. The pulled pork and the brisket were both delicious and beyond tender ...everything else was good, too ... and you definitely must try the cheesecake and the chocolate peanut butter pie.
Haven't been in awhile. Still like I remember great service and big portions. Highly recommend
Had a great time at their comedy event and yheir food was amazing! Will definitely go back !
Lovely little place. The pretzels are to die for!!!!! So crisp and soft!
The food was good though I didn't love the bbq sauce on the ribs and chicken. I prefer a sweeter bbq sauce. My kids really liked the Bavarian Pretzels. The potato skins were a bit different with the pulled pork on top but I liked them for the most part. Everything was hot and the service was very good. We ate outside given the current covid situation. There are a few picnic tables under a covering for those wondering about outdoor seating.
The service was good. I paid for dinner and the comedy show. The dinner was over cooked. When we finished eating dinner, they asked us to move from our seats that we had a reservation for. And they asked us to sit in two chairs in a corner. So I left without even listening to the comedians. I am African American.
The servers was good. The food taste like microwave food. It’s over crowded. It’s not comfortable place for people of color. I purchased tickets and made reservations and was asked to change my seat and was moved to the corner of the restaurant so other people could sit. Waste of money time and energy.
