I have never in my entire life been treated so badly in a house of worship. If I could give zero stars I would. My son and I decided to visit a Saturday service. We walk in and a woman in a mask wanted to know what we were doing there in a very unfriendly tone. We tell her we wanted to attend the service. She looked at us strangely and asks, "are you Jewish?" and asked our names. When we said no, she then refused to let us in claiming that "the rabbis wants only members attending so things are secure" and turns us away. I am not sure why she asked if we were Jewish. If we had said yes, would we have been allowed in even though we weren't members? Is it only Gentile visitors that are barred and looked at like an insect? I have visited Temple B'nai Israel and they are warm and welcoming to all. I visited synagogue in the past when my son was little and they were welcoming to us then. Simply awful, ungodly, and unbecoming behavior. Will never go back- which is obviously what they wanted in the first place....
Great people very knowledgeable. Will not avoid your questions. Deep learning. They will answer you in the language you feel more comfortable English, Spanish amd Hebrew. Debra W. Will make you feel like you are part of her family. Very welcoming place to find what God left for us since the beginning of times!!
