We enjoyed our stay. It’s a few blocks away from the boardwalk, which gave us the peace and quiet we sought after. We were celebrating our anniversary and they brought us a bottle of champagne and card, which was a nice touch. Unfortunately, it was at 10 pm and by then we weren’t ready to open a new bottle. The gesture was nice. Arbuckles was nice for drinks in the evening and breakfast in the morning. Every employee was super nice and accommodating. Great views from the room and beautiful interior.
This hotel was very nice. Staff was always prompt and the space was very clean. We loved the breakfast buffet especially the made to order omelettes and getting complimentary cocktails were such a nice bonus! The new hotel feel is very nice. A few things we did not like is that there is not a hot tub the cavalier resort does but we couldn’t go there, we felt the walls were very thin, you could hear every banging from the next room which was annoying. We complained to the front desk and they were very prompt in finding a solution, but still the noise persisted.
A clean, new, and beautiful hotel that practices slimy business by charging you with "fees" which includes $20 a night to park and then a arbitrary resort fee. I spent $700 for two nights, and then had an additional charge after I checked out that included the fees I mentioned above. I hope congress passes the new law that stops this greedy business practice. I should NOT have to pay for parking if I'm a guest and spending nearly a thousand dollars to stay there for a weekend. The fee is the room rate. I won't come back here again, the stay itself was really nice and the grounds and views were nice.
We had a great experience here at the embassy suites hotel! There are two nice pools, one outdoor and one indoor that has large doors that open to make it seem like two outdoor pools. It's a very short walk to the beach and you get two complimentary beach chairs via the resort fee I'm sure and it's not really crowded since it's right past the boardwalk. The staff was just absolutely amazing and helpful and made the stay there even better! I will say that the breakfast and welcome reception was somewhat lacking. It's WAY too small of a place to host free breakfast for everyone staying there it's at the Arbuckles restaurant and really needs a bigger space to accommodate everyone. And the welcome reception was a small table of snacks and veggies and dip but didn't see it replenished after the first pass a LOT of people waited in line to get the food and it went really quickly. Outside of that I would not hesitate at all to stay here again and highly recommend the place! Rooms: Rooms were really nice! I got the oceanfront suite and it was literally facing the ocean! There's a separate bedroom, bathroom and living area in a big rectangle. My only gripe is that the sliding door from the bedroom to the bathroom was a bit of a pain to use but other than that great room!
My family and I stayed at this facility for 5nights and we enjoyed everything except the breakfast and the customer service we got after we left. The hotel decided to charge us $500 for parking we didn't use and a breakfast that was supposed to be complimentary. Right after I checked in, I received a text from front desk asking me if everything was ok and I asked them about breakfast and I got a written response that it is complimentary for everyone on that room. I called to complain why I got charged and the front desk manager "Kaitlin" had the audacity to tell me that the person who told me that over text was still on training and she is sorry, but we can't refund you anything. I called the Hilton diamond desk and Kaitlin would put them on hold for several minutes and asked me to call back. After 6 calls in 10 days, I finally was able to get help from diamond help desk because Kaitlin wouldn't pick up anymore and refuses to return calls. The hotel was clean, the rooms were fresh, but Kaitlin messed up the experience. Breakfast was 2/10 and I don't understand why they would charge $35 for it. Note for future customers: Check your receipt before you leave because they will not return your calls. Horrible customer service. Front Desk Kaitlin: 1/10 Breakfast buffet: 2/10 Rooms: 9/10 Location: 8/10 Resort fee value: 4/10
Pros: clean, great views, polite staff Cons: breakfast operations, lack of amenities for resort fee I recently stayed for two nights at this hotel. I thought my one bedroom ocean view suite was amazing. I lucked out with a corner room and literally had ocean views galore. I felt like the messaging service on their app was great and the staff got back quickly and were helpful. The $25 resort fee is not reasonable in my opinion. I stayed Saturday and Sunday night and the only activity was a wine and paint night which booked up. I was really excited to try meditation and mimosas or beach yoga and their site made it seem misleading that that was always offered. So for $50 resort fee total I got two beach chairs and a towel. It’s customary for embassy suites to include breakfast and evening receptions, in my experience, so I find that hard to include into the $50 fee. The breakfast dining situation is a travesty. The space for guests is way too small and wasn’t planned to accommodate near the number of guests. My first morning I got down to breakfast at 7:40 AM and waited in line for 20 min to be allowed in and most items were empty. I was recommended to come earlier before they open to avoid that. Again, poor planning of space and resources of staff for a buffet. Parking is $20 per night which seems a bit extravagant to park yourself but probably due to the fact they share it with the Marriott as well.
We stayed here during the middle of June. We’ve not been to this area before so didn’t know what to expect. This hotel exceeded any expectations we had. We have two young children and this place was outstanding. The location, the amenities, and the service was great. Location: this is a little past the boardwalk, which offers a little bit of distance between the craziness and you. The beach doesn’t get too crowded compared to what you’ll see from the hotel. It’s also within 10-15 minute walk of a ton of places to eat. In our family with small kids, this is what we wanted and it worked our great. Being a military guy, I loved listening to the F-18s fly over throughout the day base nearby. Amenities: the on-site restaurants offered a great option. Reasonably priced, ease of access, and good food. Ice cream, coffee, brekky, dinner, all right there. Even a distillery across the street. The manager special was a great plus too. Bartenders made good drinks and the snacks were great. The inside and outside pools were a great alternative when the waves got a little aggressive. Room: rooms were well cleaned and the views were great from them. Service: when you arrive, you get a printout of the events tha week, recommended breakfast times, and info on all the amenities. Really helped us adjust. Other: it was clear the resort, to included the hotel, was busy. But we never felt like it was super busy. Always sufficient space, no long waits, and customer service throughout was 5 stars. We were very happy with our 5-day visit and look forward to going back.
Location is great, hotel is new and clean. You see employees cleaning everywhere. Hotel still doesn’t seem to have its act together when it comes to customer service. Online it’s billed as a resort under the umbrella of the Cavalier resort, but it’s not being run as a real resort. You cannot use the other hotel amenities. You cannot charge to your room if you eat at the other 2 hotels. The resort fee gives you almost nothing. The parking garage is a far walk from hotel across the street at the Marriott. The breakfast area is too small for the amount of guests and too many restrictions you have to eat in the restaurant. Evening reception is a small table of snacks brought out once, barely refilled. The free drinks are 2 per person, and a very limited cheap selection. Bartenders are really nice though. The 2 restaurants at the hotel are ok, very high price for small portions of food though. Lunch at Arbuckles is very slow. They seem to have one chef making all the food. We decided if we come again we will try the Marriott. Rooms: Beautiful and new. Same Embassy design as always for the 2 queen. Bathroom is large. Storage space is ample. Balcony is decent with side views of ocean. Windows/doors to outside are pretty sound proof. Rooms have a mini fridge and microwave. Both are extremely cheap and small. Sink next to them does not produce hot water. They only clean rooms every 4 days, but will come in to change towels/trash every day if you ask. High floor room takes forever for hot water if up early. Nearby activities: Hotel is north end of beach. Quiet and nice. There is a trolley 2 blocks down you can take to the south end. It’s $2 cash per adult. Kids free. It was easy to find and ride. Helped save our tired legs after shopping. Hotel offers 2 free chairs May-September for beach part of resort fee. Umbrellas are $25 extra a day. “Complementary bike rentals” are not actually complementary since you have to pay between May and September $10 an hour per bike. Safety: Area feels very safe. Walked on board walk nearby late at night and always had other people around. Pool tiles are slippery. Not sure what they were thinking, but make sure you walk carefully. The tiles are sharp also. Walkability: On north end, so out of the party area. But, easy to walk down to busy area or take cheap trolley. Parking is at the Marriott, so unload at the drop off to the Embassy or you will be carrying your stuff very far once you park. It’s $20 per night and not included in the resort fee. Food & drinks: Food over priced, like all resorts. Free breakfast is ok. They seat you in a not large enough dining area for the amount of people the hotel has staying meaning you have to wait in line if you don’t get there when they open. They don’t let you get your food and take it to your room to eat, you have to eat it in the restaurant. If you want a to-go item you have to buy a premade box breakfast for $12 that contains food that cost them like $3. Evening reception is not really worth it. Noteworthy details: The resort fee does not give you much. The “activities” are few & far in between. Watch, some have an additional fee in the description even if the register button says $0. Even though they call it the Cavalier resort, the Embassy is like the step-sister. You easily feel like the odd one out next to the Marriott & Cavalier. You cannot charge to the room at any of the resort restaurants but your own 2. You are only allowed to use your pool, not the pools at the other resort hotels.
I saw several reviews and they must of have been in the opening days of the hotel because they have it all straight now. Customer service was excellent. Rooms are brand new. Location is right on the beach. We had a 2 room suite and worked great for the kiddos. Breakfast was solid and included with the fresh omlete station. My only gripe is the $20 $30 for valet a night for self parking. It's par for the course down this way but could add up of here for multiple nights. Overall great stay at an excellent hotel.
This hotel is new. The locks at the gate going out to the beach is already broken. It needs repairing. People who do not stay at the hotel can get onto the beach because the lock at the gate to the beach is accessible to all due to the broken card access lock. The tile material used around the pool seems to be extremely slippery unlike other pools for the indoor and outdoor pools. You need to be careful walking around the pool area because of the type of material they use for the flooring. The bathrooms in the pool area needs to be serviced more frequently due to the volume of people using it. It can get pretty dirty. The evening cocktails and snacks are nice plus. It's something we look forward to coming back to this hotel for. The line in order to get seated for the breakfast is pretty bad. They could just put your name on and call you instead of making you stay in a line for 20 minutes. They can benefit from a better system of seating people for breakfast. They have a large selection of breakfast items. Their chef who prepares the me to order omelette is a great multitasker and does a great job with the eggs. They seem to be understaffed during breakfast. There is hardly anyone to restock the food and bus the tables. This place can be pretty expensive to stay at. They are charging quite a bit so they should be able to staff their hotel to give better service to their patrons. Hotel room is on the small side. The one bedroom with the living room is narrow and small. The hotel is beautiful and new but I think overall they need more staffing to help upkeep and provide adequate service for patrons. We came back a second time to stay at the hotel. We pre booked and it was extremely expensive but before our arrival we noticed the price dropped substantially. Usually Hilton allows us to edit the price before you arrive but this hotel did not allow us to do this. This is a very bad policy because Hilton overall usually allows you to reduce the price before arrival if the price drops. But they informed us that since it is part of the Cavalier resort that they will not allow any price reduction if it has been booked already. We paid a very high price for this room when other people were paying a lot less on the same day. Rooms: The rooms are slightly on the small side. Nearby activities: They provide bikes for rent and many activities at the cavalier hotel Safety: There are valet people late at night and secured card entry in the evening or night time Walkability: This hotel is at the end of the boardwalk and across from the historic cavalier hotel. It is a safe walk too many places and a 7 -11 nearby. Food & drinks: There is a 7-Eleven very close to the hotel. Walking distance. Marriott hotel has two restaurants in it next door to the embassy suites and across the street is the Cavalier with many restaurants as well.
