Stayed for 6 nights on a work trip to Austin. The location was quite convenient with about a 20 minute morning commute to the University. Parking is not complimentary but there are ample spaces. Check in process was smooth. I had called ahead to request for a check-in about 1 hour ahead of time and they graciously accommodated my request. However, the room had some issues. They immediately offered me an alternate room, which worked out great for my week long stay. The suites are spacious and well furnished with a lot of premium amenities. Having both a mini refrigerator and a microwave in the room is a basic amenity that somehow gets overlooked in a lot of other places. The only minor gripe was probably that the bathroom was a little cramped, especially with the extremely close placement of the toilet to the shower stall. The complimentary evening reception was great and obviously hugely popular among the guests. The breakfast was excellent too with lot of freshly made continental offerings like scrambled eggs, sausages, pancakes, waffles, etc. The made-to-order omelette station was clearly the cherry on the top. The staff at the breakfast area, the evening reception area and especially the hotel reception were always very cordial and friendly. I had misplaced a water bottle in the evening reception area, and they tried quite hard to help me find it, which I greatly appreciated. The gym was spacious and stocked with adequate exercise equipment. The hotel lounge area was great to have casual meetings with friends/coworkers or just hang out watching a game. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and I would definitely stay again during my future Austin trips.
Overall good stay. The room was clean and the breakfast was great. The air conditioner in the room was subpar, it took a long time to cool the room but did eventually reach the desired temp. The location was decent, it took me 15 minutes to reach my downtown destination. If you're trying to save money compared to downtown rates I would recommend this hotel. Food & drinks: Breakfast options are great and plentiful.
Absolutely loved it! We brought our dog. They were very nice and accommodating. It's gorgeous too! 2 tiny free drinks per adult from 5:30-6:30. Full breakfast too. It was awesome! Rooms: Our room was a suite with a living room and bedroom separated with a door. Very nice and clean. Very comfy bed. Safety: I wouldn't say this was exactly the best part of Austin but the hotel is very safe with security. Walkability: Not walkable.
I have to say after reading the review I was shocked because we had a great experience. Specially with the service from the staff. We have stayed at many embassy hotels and this one did not disappoint me. I noticed that they have tried to fix issues mentioned on these comments which leads me to believe management is working hard at satisfying the needs of its costumers. A few things that could be work on is housekeeping. I myself have worked with housekeeping and training staff as well so I maintain a high expectation on it.They could improve on the attention they give to some details. Like the mirrors, and shower doors. Details is what defines for me the tip I will leave. Even though we left 10 dollars for the house keeper taking our room, I would have felt compelled to leave much more if my room was to my expectations upon my arrival. The staff was very friendly and fast during happy hour and breakfast. Even management seems to be stepping in during happy hour to clear up tables and offering menus. The happy hour drinks and snacks where amazing with fresh fruit available. Over all we had a great experience and will come back in hopes that my room is up to my expectations.
Honestly one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The lobby looks amazing, and the front desk was very nice. They have a great breakfast buffet and provide drinks and snacks in the evening. Very happy with my stay and would come back again. Also loved the paleton in the work out room!Rooms: 5/5
Parking is an extra separate fee, not advertised, be aware. No cleaning service unless you tell the desk everyday. Front desk staff didn't seem happy to be there, most were not dressed appropriately for a Hilton property. Also, many seemed angry if you asked a question. A lot of kids playing tag and hide and seek in the lobby and hallways and elevators, staff did not care about other patrons in the hotel. During happy hour, the bar won't serve a glass of water. Instead, pointing to plastic disposal cups in Austin. What happened to recycle, reuse, etc. They were cleaning glasses for free adult beverages. BTW it was 102 degrees outside, maybe a little water would be all people would want. The air conditioning in the room was not working properly, nor was it working in the fitness center. Something sounded like a jet engine was easy to hear in our room. The mechanism was in desperate need of repair. Can't believe the front desk can't read a Hilton members' preference, just really a trouble experience. About the only thing that was a positive was the breakfast. Just don't stay here. Add the 15 dollars a day for parking to whatever total you get, then see if you are getting a deal.
Absolutely amazing service. We took a mini vacation/work trip and Samantha at the front desk went above and beyond setting me and my family up close together in double Queen suites. She told us about restaurants nearby which were delicious. Then when we needed another room last minute she found one close to us. Just amazing service! We will be returning to this hotel because of her and how kind and helpful she was!
We love Embassy Suites, so we were excited to stay in this one. It was fine, but just didn’t deliver the usual quality we’re expected to at one of these hotels. The rooms were ok but super dark, the happy hour had good drinks but poor snacks - we’ve been to other Embassy Suites with nearly full meals included in happy hour. It was clear they wanted you to buy dinner from the restaurant, but the menu items were super overpriced and from the looks of it seemed like the food wouldn’t be very high quality. Breakfast was great, and we loved the made to order omelettes. Gym and pool were fine. The paid parking is pretty crazy for the location - $14/night to park in a completely empty lot. On top of that, the location itself was much worse than expected, right on the highway and surrounded by a pretty sketchy area.
Staff was exceptional! Hospitality from every department. Large, clean rooms and available at the government/military rate. Swing by their Lynx Grill for afternoon manager’s reception and happy hour. Sommer was unbelievable at keeping up with all the orders on a Longhorn game night! Beautiful lobby with spacious meeting spaces. Very comfortable and relaxing stay.
I tried 3 different rooms and they were all extremely moldy. The mold smell was overwhelming in the rooms in the corners of the hotel, as the hvac can’t control the humidity, and even in every other room. The wall was peeling and rust spots in the bathroom. Very old and dingy place. They also had the tiniest half sized pillows and a fitted sheet that wouldn’t stay on due to the size being off. Very poor experience, people come for the free happy hour drinks and breakfast. Extremely disappointed in the embassy suites brand after this experience.
