The location is fantastic and the rings are spacious which is great. When the hotel is full it can take quite a while to access service. The staff are friendly and efficient. The room was clean but you could tell they were due for an update. The couch was a bit uncomfortable, bed was good though. There is a hide-a-bed in the couch. There were three sinks in the room which was weird but handy. The TV in the bedroom blocked a window.
It's a nice hotel. Don't expect a luxury experience, but definitely above average. Breakfast is good with plenty of options. The evening happy hour is a nice plus. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is decent with great access to a lot - and you're not far from transportation if you want to go somewhere else. Safety: I had no worries about safety at all. The area is fine.
I would’ve liked this place if they wouldn’t have took all my money off my card. Checked in with a $150 DEPOSIT in which I suppose to receive back at the end of my stay. Cool. Woke up the next morning with $958 taken off my card . They explain that the original booking through the third party was cancelled. Why wasn’t I informed when the deposit was taken? And what reservation I was under if my original reservation was cancelled? I never ever spent 1k for two nights at any hotel. That’s a whole trip for me. To top it off I had to lock my card because they were still charging like $10 here and there…for what? A big rip off. Never again and I wouldn’t recommend period.
Overall experience was great. It was a bit tricky to get into the lobby once you have parked. ALSO VERY IMPORTANT TO KEEP YOUR PARKING PASS TO EXIT. Breakfast needs so attention and would love to see them have room service for breakfast. The corner view room is well worth the extra money to see the buildings at night.Rooms: 4/5
Absolutely enjoyed my stay here. My friend and I were on vacation and we didn’t spare nothing for the full experience. Got a room on the highest floor with a view cost us a lot but was totally worth it. The breakfast was a bit disappointing though, quite limited. They have happy hours in the evening too. Location is a walking distance to the Navy Pier and Museum of Ice cream and a couple of other places. The guy who checked us out was so nice and friendly; don’t remember his name. Overall, loved it Walkability: Close to the Navy Pier
This hotel is run down. Elevator buttons missing, lights don’t light up and it doesn’t always go where you want. We did digital check in so we were able to go right to our room. The first room had a ripped up sofa and the tub was disgusting. We asked for another room and it was slightly better but the view of the second room was the only thing that made it tolerable. Tub still had stains and the water temperature was reversed in both rooms. The light fixtures were also very dusty. Because we did digital check in we skipped the front desk at initial check in and when switching rooms the front desk didn’t provide any meal or breakfast tickets. Make sure you get those because you will be greeted by a very unfriendly breakfast attendant that won’t allow you into the breakfast area and you don’t want to wait in line only to have to get your tickets and then have to go to the back of the line. I will say, the weekend breakfast attendant was pleased just to see our digital room key for breakfast, the weekday breakfast attendant was the one that clearly needs a new job because he was super unfriendly. The staff besides the weekday breakfast attendant was great. There were issues with our electronic door lock and we were locked out of our room twice which was super inconvenient. The pool was gross and we only took the kids one time due to it. Thankfully we were very close to the lake or that would have been a huge disappointment. I’ve been a Hilton member for a while and after this experience, I may switch brands because this was not a Hilton level experience. The king bed also did not look like a proper king. We have a king at home and this was definitely smaller. Made it hard to sleep with our son like we usually do at home. Overall, I would skip this hotel and find another. There are plenty to choose from in the same location that would have made our trip a much better experience.
Location is great - but probably the worst Hilton I've ever stayed at. The parking is $56 through the parking garage for 24 hrs. We paid $53 for the "discounted" hotel rate. We'll, we got in at 7:30 pm and left the next day at 6 pm. Because it was one hour over 5 pm, which we were not made aware by the workers at the desk, we were charged THIRTY dollars extra for parking by the lot. If you park here, do not pay through the hotel, just pay the lot or park elsewhere. We are diamond members, waited in the priority lane to check in, and they just ignored us and kept taking others before us when we were in line longer for "priority" check in. Waited 10 minutes before we just checked in on the app and opted to have no physical keys. The rooms were not great and it was extremely loud. You could hear every word from the neighbors and people from the sky lobby yelling and shouting for no reason all night. It is rundown, out dated, and could use a lot of TLC inside the rooms, and especially the elevators. Anyway, our experience in chicago was great but this hotel was a complete miss. Would not stay again or recommend to anyone else.
The rooms were really big - had a full long table in one room which was great for catching up on work. The bedroom was separated with a door and had a sink, closet and safe. This hotel also had happy hour and had given each adult 2 free drinks between 5:30-7:00 pm which was a great perk! Will be coming back.Rooms: 4/5
We exited our taxi to check in to this stunning, modern property for a 3 night stay. We are here in Chicago to celebrate the marriage of my dear Godchild/niece. Location couldn’t be better. Right in the Miracle Mike and within walking distance to many stores and restaurants. It was a busy Friday afternoon and there was a line to get checked in and assigned a room. The two young ladies were joined by a third and worked diligently to provide quality customer service to everyone. A family member had recommended this property and made several room reservations months ago. There was a large lobby and a large bar cordoned off at that time but more about that later. Our room was on the 10th floor. It was spotless. A pleasant living area with plenty of seating and a small dining/desk area . There was also a big flat screen TV. The bathroom -again spotless with large dispensers fit body wash, shampoo & conditioner within the tub/shower area. Vanity and sink with hand soap dispenser and body lotion dispenser. Large vanity and of course a commode. Across from the bathroom was a coffee/tea bar and dorm size refrigerator. Plenty of coffee, tea creamers, cups etc. stocked it. The sleeping area had a separate door, a king bed and large picture window. City view with a tiny exposed portion of both Lake Michigan and the Chicago River. There is a huge celebration downtown in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month and we arrived back to our room last night in time for a fireworks display! Bed was comfortable with quality linens. I’ve never experienced such a large eating area and the breakfast offered could not have been better. Service with a “Good Morning “ and a smile. Cooked to order omelets and any other style egg your heart desires. Bacon, Potatoes- huge bar of fruits, a juice , coffee & milk area, Dozens of bakery items, pancakes, oatmeal my choice and old fashioned oats cooked to perfection, cold cereal, toast, breads, bagels. No doubt the most extraordinary free breakfast option EVER! Now then-we also can partake in a free “happy hour “ with light snacks, beer, soda and wine which we will check out Sunday evening. I won’t consider staying anywhere else!
The worst hotel ever!!! I checked in at night. But later a stranger opened my room with his card, which was mistakenly programmed to access my room. It took over thirty minutes for the staff to figure out what's going on. This breach of security is unacceptable and has left me feeling extremely unsafe and uncomfortable during my stay. I was so disappointed. This incident has severely shaken my trust in your hotel's security protocols and the overall quality of service. Do not book this hotel unless you want a stranger to enter your room!!!
