This is now the 3rd stay spanned out over a couple weeks at this location. Great stay each time. Beautiful views can be had during the complementary breakfast where they have omelets made to order. Don’t find that often anymore!! Hotel and rooms are clean and nice. The only odd thing was that the bathtub would fill with water during a shower…so you can soak your feet before or after a long day. Again, 3 separate stays, same issue each time. However, staff was super nice and professional and I enjoyed the stay every time.
We hadn't stayed here since about six years ago. I was shocked about the horrible reviews. OKAY...our room was beautiful. And even though we had a long wait to check in sold out for fireworks show there was one young man blond hair, glasses-Bob??? that went above and beyond to get us in to an amazing room. Nothing but good... The Managers Reception snacks were super lame and ran out early... The breakfast was really good. Headed to Myrtle Beach in two days. Love Embassy Suites
The staff: amazing!! Kind, good personalities The room: so so. Bathroom didn’t seem as clean as it could have been & food wrappers under the couch. The bed: HORRIBLE!!! Most uncomfortable hotel bed ever. The pool: outdated & not worth it The noise: I was not thrilled at all that a wedding reception was in the ballroom right below us. We were on floor 2 and kept awake very late because of it. The view: riverfront & beautiful Breakfast/evening reception: nice! Breakfast was yummy. Ease of access…. Thumbs down. The elevators were weird & had 2 different ones to get where you needed to be. Pool was on the second floor. Lobby/where you coming in from front doors & parking garage was confusing.
This is the hotel from HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Worse experience ever! Do not I repeat do not book here or book an event here!! booked a graduation party here and the whole experience was horrible. They randomly changed event coordinators on me and the new coordinator I got was in completion confusion. After I paid my deposit and agreed on a certain amount. The coordinator literally tried to change the price of everything. On top of that the day we go to set up for the event the lady at the front desk gives me the hardest time to show proof I was allowed to come in and decorate for my party I paid for. Then after we decorate until 1am in the morning, their staff came into our ballroom and destroyed all of our decorations making us redo things we did not have time to do. Still have no answers on who and why they did that. Then they consistently keep charging my card all these outrageous amounts for a room that wasn’t even my room. This has been the worse experience ever and there is never a resolution!!!!!!! Save yourself the headache and stay clear!!! I am also a gold member and never was treated as such, never got water in the room or a welcome bag. Very disappointing.
Overall, a good stay. Pros: 1. Complimentary drinks during social hour. 2. Fitness Center has free weights and cardio equipment. 3. Hotel is within walking distance of a number of restaurants and attractions. 4. Breakfast buffet was good. Cons: 1. Room needed an update. Carpet was stained. Sheets also had stains. 2. Hot water was lacking during my first two nights. 3. Bathtub had dark rings in it most likely from removing a bath mat. However, it made the tub look dirty. I would stay here again. However, the hotel could use an updated renovation.
First the good. Nice view, large room, great breakfast, long pool hours. Now the bad. Room was not clean to our standards. One of the blankets on a bed had a large spot that was worn through, possibly burned? With 6 people, we needed to use the sofa bed and the cover on it was filthy. Like nasty bad. Took them an hour to replace it for us. Only 3 towels in the room when we arrived. We asked for more and they brought 3 floor towels. You know, the ones you put on the ground to step in when you finish bathing. The bathroom needs a LOT of attention.
My daughter and I stayed at the Embassy suites in January 2023. Every single member of staff that we came in contact with provided exemplary customer service. They were friendly, accommodating, and genuinely willing to help in any way they could. It’s so refreshing to stay at a hotel where I didn’t feel like an inconvenience. Great job all around!
Carpet, walls, and bedding were filthy. Toilet tank busted as soon as my 8 year old daughter sat down to use the restroom. Management would not fix the problem or switch us to a different room. I had to turn off the water to the toilet myself, and we were forced to stay in a room without a functioning bathroom. For a river front hotel that charges the rates it does… it was totally disappointing.
This hotel is in need of a remodel and some deep cleaning. Immediately upon opening the door there was a musty smell. The carpets and bathroom floor felt dirty under our feet. The bathroom tile grout was disgustingly dirty. There was no bar soap left for us in the bathroom for hand washing. The bathtub drain was clogged and we stood in water ankle deep while showering. The coffee in the morning tasted like mud and was barely luke warm. It was definitely leftover in the containers from the previous day. There were hardly any guests when we were there and were charged $15 additional to “upgrade” to a River view. Incredibly disappointed in this Hilton establishment.
We just got to our room. Took about two hours. Along the way we found out that parking is not free, it's 12 dollars a day with free coming and going provided you have a vehicle less than 6'8" that can fit in the garage. We were not so lucky, so my normal-sized truck went in oversized parking. This, it turns out, has no elevator access. You'll have to block the fire lane out front for a long as it takes to unload. This is a process in and of itself, you have to walk your car most of the way to the corner light to get to the handicapped ramp. Then an elevator to the lobby floor, more winding ramps, and an elevator to your room floor. We were less than pleased to find a shower that consisted of a corner of the bathroom sectioned off with a rubber strip on the floor. Probably would have been fine for a night but we have young kids and we're here for at least a few weeks. Front desk staff were helpful getting most of our stay refunded as Priceline was absolutely horrific.
