Emily updated our estate planning documents including moving assets into an established trust. Our former documents were from a Gulf Coast state but needed to be current with Florida law. Being an older couple, we have moved several times over the course of our lives and were fortunate enough to have legal help who made the process thoughtful and easy. Emily fit into that same expectation. We read an article in a local newspaper about her that reminded us we needed to update our estate planning. Emily’s expertise was exactly what we needed. We chatted with her via ZOOM for a ‘meet and greet’. She ‘clicked’ with us so we then met in person to go over our papers. In the few weeks that followed we were able to ask questions and provide her more information. Emily brought to our attention [as she went through our documents] a number of items that were not included previously and that we had just not thought about. At our last meeting when we signed all documents that needed to be updated, we felt comfortable with the process and the products of the process. We may review the docs in another 5-7 years with Emily but as long as we are living in Florida, any further updates should be minor. We would definitely recommend Emily Hicks for estate planning.
